stone identification on 1940s band?

Hi,
The attached pictures are of my grandmother's ring. She said it was from the 1940s. Is it possible to identify or at least get a few possibilities of what the stone in the inlay is? It's a medium bluish green with a slight amount of brown veins. Thanks

Turquoise and sterling, probably Native made, and it looks like the turquoise has darkened with age and wear.
These kinds of wedding rings are popular here in the southwest.
