Does anyone know if a PS vendor or otherwise trusted vendor has a fairly narrow step cut band (carré, E-W emerald, or even non-tapering french cuts)? I've been through ID Jewelry's selection and nothing really spoke to me (the ones I liked all had milgrain). Ideally with a sizing bar or 1/2 or 3/4 eternity.

Edit: Needs to be white gold, and relatively low to match and fit flush with my e-ring

Not that I know for sure since they don't share their prices, but they're probably out of budget. Also, it needs to be white gold, I'll edit to reflect that :)

There's this one, but I'm not sure how thin it is: http://www.eternityweddingbands.com/Emerald-Cut-Diamond-Ring-Platinum.aspx

It's not a great one, but I thought I'd suggest it anyway.

I've been looking for them for myself, but not coming up with anything that makes me happy.

This is an Asscher that might work: http://www.thefacetscollection.com/Platinum-Channel-Set-Wedding-Band-11-Asscher-Cut-Diamonds-059ct-tw-F-G-color-VVS-VS-clarity/1056.html

This with baguettes: http://www.thefacetscollection.com/Platinum-Channel-Set-Eternity-Band-17-Horizontal-Baguette-Diamonds-184ct-tw-F-G-color-VVS-VS-clarity/1834.html

(Facets also has various other combinations. It might be worth checking out. The alternating baguette and RB ones are pretty, but might or might not appeal.)

Note: Both sites indicate you can choose your metal (14 or 18K WG).

Dimend Scaasi - but I've never ordered from them before.

Yikes, a lot of those are out of my price range... Probably need to keep it under $1200. I wish though, those are gorgeous!!

I should go down to Dimend Scassi since I am in Chicago, hmmm...

do you think ID could order one without milgrain?

Not to be a bummer but I don't think you're going to find what you're looking for $1200. But here's the good news! Step cut wedding bands generally look pretty dull and get dirty instantly. Small step cuts don't fare so well on the hand - ESPECIALLY baguettes. SOOOOOOO, I'm gonna recommend you look at bands that would *coordinate* w/but not match stepcuts! I bought my "link" wedding band at http://www.mkhordipour.com/

Or you could look for an engraved or plain metal band for your WEDDING band and plan to get a step-cut diamond stacker for a future anniversary? (That way you wouldn't probably wear that all the time & wouldn't feel as bad when it got dirty as you might your *wedding* band.)

Yup. There's one on ebay in my size right now. Decent price. But I wouldn't buy it, know why? They look like crap after a while and even cleaning them obssessively won't help.

Here's what I'd buy: Ask Yekutiel for the ALL DIAMOND version of this Gabriel and Company band it's 1.7mm and GORGEOUS and is around 1000 bucks. But the band comes in all diamonds. It's low, thin, well made and a great price. Again the all diamond is about 1000.

ETA: Here it is: 800 bucks! http://idjewelryonline.com/product_info.php?products_id=10874&cType= You can order it in 3/4 eternity. And any metal you want.
I was actually already eyeing that one but the pics on ID Jewelry are hard to evaluate. I actually LOVE it in sapphires. I am gonna ogle the pics of the sapphire one you linked to a little more...

I think the Gabriel & Co is probably perfect, thanks Gypsy for the links to the non-stock pics (and for posting them!)

I don't want platinum, but if any lurkers see this, this is almost perfect and a great price: http://oakgem.com/Products/Estate_Tiffany_(and)_Co_Platinum_Diamond_Wedding_Band_Ring_2959.aspx

Good choice. I desperately want pics when you get it!!!
