Step cut CZ and sterling re-do

I have this old CZ step cut pendant and round CZ studs that I don't wear anymore. I made them years ago when I first learned silver smithing.
I decided to rearrange them into a fun ring. I don't know exactly what the golden stone could be. It was given to me long ago as a citrine, but I'm skeptical. Here are some photos.
