Thanks for taking the time to read this :) I have been lurking the forum for a long time now but never made an account until now.

My boyfriend told me that I could start the search for my ring.
He told me the budget would be around $20k.

In my head, I know what I like but I can't picture the perfect ring.
I don't know much about rings, so I am open to learn! What I have decided on so far is from reading on here mostly.

I love cushion cut, but am open to round diamonds just for the fact that I know rounds looks bigger.
Ideally I would want a diamond that is 2ct or more.
I am open to warmer colors, and sometimes actually prefer it but my boyfriend is set on it being colorless or nearly colorless.
I would prefer it to be VS2 or better.
I am loving the antique and old mine cuts! But definitely not a requirement.

As for the setting, he loves a simple solitaire. I would love the main diamond to be the focus of attention in a 4-prong setting, as in no 3 stone e-rings. But I do love the idea of having a baguette or side stones in the band.

I'm a romantic at heart, and love antique style rings.

Is what I'm wanting doable with our budget? Can anyone picture a ring that I'm thinking of in my head?
Sorry for the many questions. I'm excited and confused at the same time!

^ A classic look. I think that's a ring from Whiteflash. You can look through the PS database under Resources, Diamond Search at top of page, then set your parameters, and price, and look at in-house diamonds as a first pass to see what fits your budget.

Colorless or near colorless in an actual antique of any size will be difficult to find because those tended to be recut into modern RB diamonds until very recently. Singlestone might be able to source one for you, though. But most are in the J/K color range or lower. Most baguettes in mountings are very white or colorless, and J/K will really look tinted beside them.

I really do like that look! Thank you for mentioning about the baguette color. I wouldn't have thought of that
