Hi ladies, I'm new to the St. Louis area and don't really know anyone here yet. I've looked online but in the past I go to salons via word of mouth - I'm picky about who touches my hair. Does anyone have any good recommendations for a salon? I'm looking for cut and color (highlights and lowlights are typical for me), and even on a tight budget, I don't mind splurging on my hair (I'm pretty vain about it, actually!). So higher end is preferred!

Here is a semi-current pic of my hair to give you an idea of the length and color if it helps. Thank you SO much!

(eeek, excuse the frizz!)

I see Jessica at Clare''s of Clayton. Website is claresofclayton.com. All I''ve had done is two all-over color treatments but she''s done very well by me so far. She has an individual website if you want to take a look. It''s JessicaDana.com.

Hi jsm!

I go to Samantha @ Dominic Michael''s Salon in Clayton (http://www.dmsalon.com/). My hair is really similar to yours in texture and color, and she does my highlights and lowlights and also cut. Dominic Michael is pretty pricey, but definitely worth it if you''re particular about your hair (like I am!).
Good luck and welcome to STL!

Thank you both for the recommendations! I haven''t been to the Clayton area yet, I will definitely have to check it out. :)

Neither of them are names I''ve come across yet (Google does have it''s disadvantages), I knew the ladies here would come through. Thanks again!

I go to Christy V. at Clare's of Clayton.
Welcome to St. Louis!

ETA I have my hair highlighted pretty regularly, we usually do a couple of colors and when I think it's getting too light then we'll add in some lowlights, and she does an awesome cut!
