Hi, I’m thinking about selling my sapphire and was wondering what would be a reasonable selling price for a stone if this quality? And what is the best way to sell this stone? Jeweller?

1) Natural Sapphire – (colour change)
2) Colour – Pink to Purple
3) Refractive index 1.76 – 1.77
4) Specific Gravity 4.00
5) Oval Faceted Cut
6) Cut – excellent
7) Clarity – S1
8) Weight – 7.06 carats
8) No indication of heat treatment A9F5A7D3-DA19-4E01-91D4-EA0A209173C9.png

Maybe loupetroop, price could be 5k, maybe more. Not an expert but anyone buying such a big (and likely expensive) sapphire is going to require a certificate and a good one. Like GRS, SSEF, Gubelin or AGL to name a few

Thanks for the information. I’m in the process of getting a GIA certificate for it. I was think about selling it to a jeweller are they typically good options? I’ll look into loupetroop.

Thanks

PriceScope is a consumer forum, not a platform for showing gems you wish to sell. If you're a new vendor, you should set up shop on Ebay or Etsy instead of paying here. There's also other forums online where you can solicit advice from other vendors, but unless you're a consumer, I feel that it goes against the spirit of this forum for you to start threads.
