Hi all, so I had gotten some fantastic help last week (thanks again) on this thread. I spoke over the phone with Julianna from James Allen about 3 diamonds:

this one: 1st
this one: 2nd
and this one: 3rd

She really ruled out the 3rd one and strongly suggested that the first one was by far the best. She said it was a beautiful stone, with no imperfections that she could detect with her eyes. That is the one I have liked from the beginning and wanted to get some opinions from some more seasoned people.

I have attached a link to the IS images James Allen provided for both stones (I completely ruled out stone 3).
stone 1 (the one I am really liking and on the verge of buying) this is the same as the below image...I can figure out how to un-attach the file...
stone 2

Any advice would be great! Ultimately I want to make sure that committing to the 1st stone (0.92 G VS1) is the best decision. Thanks in advance for your help!

That stone would be a most excellent choice--the IS is fabulous. There is nothing wrong with the other IS, either, but since Julianna picked this one when viewing both side by side, I would go with her eyes.

FYI, you will need to attach the IS for the second stone to another post, as links to outside hosting sites are against PS policies and will be pulled.

Thanks for the reply! I also really like it.

I have it put aside.

Does anyone have any experience with the settings at James Allen. I would really like to get the diamond and setting there. I really like the French Pave setting. I''m getting very excited/nervous/I don''t know...

Anyways, thanks again for the help.

When a newbie such as myself can tell that an IS looks great, well, then you probably have no worries. And the shank style looks great. Am sure you will be satisfied, go with your gut feel.......

That stone is gorgeous, and so is the setting. I''d say you''re batting a thousand at this point!

Lol, thankfully they are holding the diamond of interest (0.92ct G VS1). I believe that they remove it from the site when they are being held.

I called and confirmed that I would like to purchase it. I am going to discuss getting it set tomorrow!

Does anyone have any experience with having James Allen engrave the engagement ring?

Yum - that will be a beautiful diamond!

I don''t believe I''ve ever heard of anyone who has had that done by them (that doesn''t mean there aren''t any though). You could always ask for pics of any they have done.
