I know I will need one to accomodate my new redesigned ring and weddings band. I am trying to decide (in concept, i have no actual candidates yet) if I want to do a plain white gold band or something more blingy.

The ring combo will be a 3 stone round, with halo on centerstone only, plain white gold band, SPACER, wedding band white gold .25ct 5 stone in a shared prong (i think shared... close enough)

Does anyone have any pics of their ring stacks that illustrate the two spacer options with anything similar to what im working with?

either plain, bling, partial bling OR plain, plain, partial bling

I need a definate direction so I can budget the project accordingly
TIA =)

I do not mean to hijack your thread - just wondering why you need a spacer?
I don't wear an e-ring typically - just wondering if this is design specific or required due to daily wear?
Yikes - I feel like such an ill informed jewelry owner just asking this question!

you would want a spacer between two rings that would have diamonds on them that might rub up against each other.
usually a spacer would just be a really thin (under 2 mm) metal ring to buffer between the two.

if you wanted more blingy thing though, you could get a scatter band to put between them

what will your wedding band be?

lol, i just learned the term "spacer band" yesterday so dont feel bad, lol. Im super new here.

The diamonds in my wedding band have continually worn damage to the setting and prongs on my (current)e-ring because refuse to soder them together. I am less concerned about that with the new setting but my halo on the cetnerstone will completely block all the diamonds on my wedding band. by adding that spacer band, it will bump it out so you can see the sparkle still...

...in theory

well if you are having diamonds in the base of the ring where the halo would be , and you know your wedding band has already damaged your current ring, id get one, you can get an all metal one thats visually interesting and still nice and safe like june rose's

oh my gosh! what a beautiful set! I hadnt considered something like that but i like it! I really like the idea of a scatter band actually, I found something similar last night that caught my eye! In white gold of course...

FOR REFERENCE!! This is similar to the new ring...

And this is a (quick cell phone pic with a dirty ring) of what I have now..

i think that pave rose gold band you posted would eat away pretty good at your ring. if you dont want a spacer but just want another ring to wear you could there are options that would have metal on the outside to keep the two diamonds from scratching, one with a ribbon of metal on the outside or a bezel band

Exactly!!! I dont want to have it damage the new ring- i was thinking i had to go plain metal for that reason alone. BUT! I LOVE that second bezel setting pic!! I personally dont care for engraving or milgrain or channel set. Those are my parameters =)

I really really like the bezel ring tho and i am surprised at myself!!! My top concern however would be, would it be look good sandwiched between two straight bands? or funny with the gaps between the circles and bands??

I think the gaps make it more interesting. Also, unless you are going for large stones, the gaps won't be that noticable IRL unless you walk around with a magnifying glass. :geek:

I love that ring too! I am contemplating buying it but I am undecided about what I want to do with my e ring so I'm reluctant to pick it out until I know the metal color I want, or if I want alternating colored stones. That ring is so delicate the little spaces won't bother you a bit, and its made for stacking, it would look great with your new set

I'm not sure that you need a spacer if you are using a plain band between the ering and diamond wedding band.

If you DO decide to do another band, an engraved band might be the way to go...a little interest, but still accomplishes the goal.
