I''m originally from South Africa (currently living in Canada) My family and parents still live in South Africa - one of my friends forwarded a few South African diamond/jewelery websites. It''s pretty interesting to see the cost per ct. When I was young my dad purchased quite a few diamonds for my mom - it was easy to find and very affordable. In my mind I never thought that diamonds would increase in cost so much - boy was I wrong. - I guess De Beers really do control the world!
