The worst thing about it was DH ran after the couple but didn't stop them cuz he wasn't sure I would have stpped them and asked questioned later and Identfied nuances of the stroller! Good grief, how many lime green double decker stroller are there when we didn't run into any all day..... sorry I'm venting and just frustrated with the whole situation

Eta: sorry for mispellings , writing from phone and still at disneyland in pouring rain, had our rain gear and all which was all in the now stolen stroller. And my dd comfy blankee which she is really sad about..going back to he hotel

that totally sucks. sorry for you! did they think you had bags & purses in there? or did they have a kiddo & no stroller ? that's truly terrible; mickey would be ashamed of those thieves.

Not sure what they were thinking about, we didn't leave anything like cash or camera and I don't bring purses to theme parks, so I'm thinking more they had two kids, and this was a unique and awesome stroller to have convienent and is very slim design specially to manuever around crowds .

I'm sad these things happen in a family environment. My oldest DD cried really hard too, and never experience this kind of feeling about "stealing"

D&T - Oh no! I'm so sorry! I've read about this sort of thing happening in the newborn thread. Apparently, people will often bring less expensive umbrella strollers just for this reason! Apparently, it is not uncommon!! Are all of the strollers parked in one area? Are there locks available?

I'm sure the people who took it weren't looking for anything valuable at all. The stroller itself is valuable enough. Easy to sell on craigslist for a few hundred!!!

So sorry you had this happen especially on Christmas!

I am sorry to hear that! It is such a bummer. I always worried about that. It never happened to me. When we took the kids
to Disney world we had just purchased a custom wheelchair for my son who is brain injured. He is mobile but that was a lot of
walking. I was so worried about losing it, I locked it with a bike lock every time we left it.

Such a bummer. People are messed up. I am so sorry D &T!

Thanks guys, we reported it but I'm sure its gone. I was nervous about this kind of thing happening so I bought a lock a couple of years back, DH thought it was such a hassle to lock everytime the one time I did bring it with us and we saw other expensive strollers around us that we felt ok to leave it off, so we stopped bringing it. The officer says the highest theft in stroller brand is the buggaboo (sp?) Sorry not very familiar with this brand as it must have out of my budget

-love vintage, you are right as I was leaving the park I saw actually a couple of umbrella stroller just tossed on the sides as it was pouring rain and no one seemed to be claiming it.

I did leaved it next to the nemo large stroller parking ride. Also I wonder if these people wait til it was dark to steal because our stroller wasnj't exactly a muted color - lime green!

Aww lesson learned - everyone please lock your stroller at disneyland... I know a pain in the rear but at least it won't ruin your day.
Luvs2sparkle- so glad your wheelchair didn't get stolen, that would have been realy sad to see.

Seriously ....what is wrong with people, guess santa didn't bring them he right stroller or any gift at all.

Sorry to say, my DD works at Disney world and this is a common occurrence. Some people feel no shame. DW has a backstage store for employees where they sell merchandise left behind and there are DOZENS of cheap strollers for sale..probably the ones they brought in and ditched for yours. So sorry this happened to you. Note for those who take future trips: bring a cheap umbrella stroller to the park for the day.

Aprilbaby- that is so sad yep, we will probably just either rent or do the umbrella ones from now on, luckily my oldest is pretty much out of the stroller stage, but we'll just need one for our youngest one.

I'm sorry. That's terrible. I don't remember crimes like that at Disneyland when I was a kid in the '70's. It's supposed to be "the happiest place on earth." I wish it would have been a little more happy for you!

So sorry that happened to you. I also brought a lock with us when we visited Disneyland this past summer b/c I've heard about stroller getting stolen. DH thought I was nut to bring one, but I rather be safe. It's very sad that these kinds of thing happen at Disneyland.

Thanks Danny, it was great up until then...

Gemgirl, it was pretty awful as we had diapers and kids stuff, gifts, irreplaceble items (albeit not costly) but a couple of gifts for the kids from their cousins

Disney security was somewhat helpful got us some diapers and wipes and rain gear, but I was surprised by the lack of protocol (dunno, I thought they may have radio out to look out for our stroller, but nope, not really) talke to the Police, and that's that...lol.

qt- I wish I would have brought our lock with us too. I guess there are always hindsight what IFs. I do believe in Kharma though.

so sorry D&T! I remember someone had a thread on here maybe this summer about should you take an expensive stroller to disneyland and the consensus was along the lines of no, take a cheapie umbrella. it's amazing people do these types of things and it's sad. ugh!

Sadly, I think Disneyland is no longer 'the happiest place on earth'. It seems like they used to be a lot more helpful. We have
had some really awful experiences the last few times we have gone. But there was a time.......
