Hi. We are approaching our 15th year anniversary and I have been given permission to upgrade my existing solitaire. Please do not think that I am not being sentimental, we will give the original solitaire to my daughter.
Anyway, I am starting to look for my dream solitaire, a 2-3 carat round brilliant in a Tiffany-style setting. But now that I can finally buy my dream solitaire, I am starting to second guess myself. I am the super-careful type, I tend to "save" everything for special occassions, and I am wondering how often I would actually wear the solitaire. Rings tend to spin around my bony fingers and I can just imagine myself chipping a diamond on a canned good item at Kroger''s.
So here is my question for those solitaire wearings out there - do you keep your solitaire on 24/7 or do you only wear it when you leave the house? Do you shower, exercise, and sleep with your solitaire spinning round your finger?
I have always wanted a large solitaire, but if I wouldn''t be wearing it all the time, it might be a better idea to buy an eternity ring or a five stone ring, something less valuable and less likely to get damaged...
I appreciate any input you care to share...
