Hi there,

I am thinking of either (1) custom cut a solasfera (2)custom cut a 8 star or(3) buy ACA idealcut.

Guys, what is your choice if you are in my shoes?

I heard about the Solasfera (91 facets). I was told Solasfera has no painting or digging in the stone .
I heard that the 8 star has little painting but to a very small degree and does not affect the stone.
I heard ACA has light leakage and its idealscope is not as red as 8 star or solasfera, but it is a fantastic cut diamond, is it not?

Since the 8 star and Solasfera are cut under the firescope, should it not be the most brilliant diamond?

I am thinking of one stone less than 2 carat.

Eightstar has heavy painting.
ACA is better balanced.

I really liked the look of the solasfera, but I wasn''t able to find the right stone in the time frame that I needed the ring. I was comparing one to an AGS 0 and a Isee2 diamond.

I ended up with the Isee2 and couldn''t be happier. I am still very intrigued by the solasfera and would love to study one, if i got the chance.

Some people may not like the "busy" look of these extra faceted stones, but I didn''t mind it at all.

All look different to each other, my choice would be the ACA for what to me would be the best visual balance but if you aren't sure try viewing Hearts on Fire ( along the lines of ACA), Solasfera ( 10 hearts and 10 arrows and extra facets) and 8* which as QM says are considerably painted as part of the cutting style.

Ditto! I''m very intrigued by them as well and may want to get one for my love sometime in the near future.

I am a bit more traditional, and you can''t beat an ACA. Thats my vote. The other diamonds just seemed to "busy" for me
