LiW Soho Gem or Midtown Jeweler?

Hi Everyone,

So we''ve finally found a stone we love but are stuck where to get it set, soho gem or the diamond district.

I love Soho Gems'' settings but they''re charging $5000+. Do you think a jeweler in the diamond district could replicate the design or should we just have peace of mind and go with soho gem? I do know that their setter is in midtown also.

You seem to want a fairly standard cushion with a halo - a very popular choice!

Do you already have a center stone?

PS has many vendors which are located in newyork, and I''m sure any one of them could help you find what you''re looking fo for a fair price.

You might try reposting this on the rocky talky forum - they are more knowledgable with settings.

Many many vendors carry halo settings, so shop around!

That seems a little expensive; unless you love Soho Gem I would suggest getting quotes from some vendors on here or Leon. Are there any rings on PS that are the exact style you love? Maybe go with the same person who made it.

I would post in Rocky Talky for sure, for more responses.

Thanks guys, I''ll definitely repost. You''re right it is a pretty standard design but somehow it has never looked the same in other jewelers as it has at soho gems. The design is very delicate and has no extra embellishments, which is what I''m looking for... I''ll look into the other places. Thanks so much!

I live in NYC and when I was looking for an eternity band for my halo e-ring..I went to Soho Gem...Great place to try on beautiful pieces BUT they are $$$. When I found what I wanted and they told me the price...I said to myself..no way in hell.

I took my idea to Whiteflash, got exactly what I wanted and with BIGGER DIAMONDS that were ACA's...and for a hell of a lot less money (that's why I was able to get larger BLING).

Have you thought about having one of the PS vendors make the setting for you?
