So very confused!!!

I was innocently looking at ring selections on a variety of websites when I came across this one. Now I am freaking out! My boyfriend and I are going THIS WEEKEND to get a ring. I didn''t know I should be educated but now I would very much like to be. There is so much to learn, though! I keep coming across things like AGSO and GIA and I don''t know what they mean! The last thing I want is for my engagement ring to turn out to be a bad one! Can someone please, please help me! What are the most important factors I should know when looking at diamonds? If it looks ok to the naked eye, should I look at it through a microscope? I read the SHANE CO IS BAD! thread so now I am not going to be shopping there but I was looking at Zales. Is Zales good? What about Kay? I will be traveling to the Denver area to look so if anyone has any great reccommendations, I would greatly appreciate it. And for anyone who can contribute to my knowledge of diamonds, I would also greatly appreciate it! Please help!!!

Read the tutorials here on cut. Cut is key to buying a beautiful diamond. Buy online, seriously the stones from PS vendors will blow away anything you will see at Zales or Kay's. Don't rush into buying a ring. Educate yourself, and be an informed consumer. Please!!!
