I feel your pain!! That was me Spring of 2015. My fingers were too swollen to wear rings. PS..that damn camo cast was NOT what I asked for. I asked for Black cause it goes with everything. LOL Idiot surgeon thought I needed something with pizazz. I had to endure that for 8 weeks! Ask for a black cast when you have to switch out that temp one. LOL

I live in Canada and we’ve been having crazy weather. Lots of rain and then freezing temperatures.....
We had some snow during the night and I was shoveling because my husband can’t right now as he’s having hernia surgery next Thursday.
I slipped on the ice and landed on my hand. I knew right away I broke my wrist. First thing I though of was the elderly people I help, along with a few swear words. I feel so bad, there’s a couple that really depend on me.

I had ketamine to put me out to have it set. What a trip!! Apparently people ‘snort’ it to get high! I guess I now know what it feels like but don’t understand the desire to use it.

I’ll be reading lots more on this site as I’m not allowed to do anything. Going to have to figure out meals, I have two teen sons!

I love the camo! Although black is more practical. I’m going to see an orthopaedic surgeon next week to have xrays and see if I need surgery. “Insert swear word here”

It just happened today so trying to keep it elevated to reduce swelling.

I finally flipped my lid after about 8 mths telling them that my thumb was not getting stronger. I had a grade 4 ligament tear. The only thing I needed was surgery. They thought it would get better on it's own. Keep an eye on your wrist & don't let them tell you you don't need surgery. I used a simple 2L milk carton as my gauge. I couldn't grasp it when my injury happened & I still couldn't grasp it almost 8 mths in.

See how much sexier a black cast is... Of course, red nails help.

Sounds good I apparently have the time!
I reinvented myself after being a SAHM for 14 years! I went to university for early childhood art education....now I’m helping the elderly....go figure.
However, I love it!

Yes I’m right handed, thank goodness. The emergency was full of people with broken bones and weird flu symptoms...
Broken hips, ankles, wrists etc. I’m lucky it wasn’t my hip.

Oy I’m so sorry! If you get s black cast it might be fun to have people decorate it with metallic sharpie. Meanwhile, good time to make that dream RHR happen!

As far as meals for teen boys, I personally find frozen foods from Costco to be great. They have precooked frozen chicken, fish, meatballs etc. reheat and toss with a store sauce for easy protein, then add roasted veggies and carb. I’ve done this so many times when busy or when I tore my Acl and didn’t want to spend too much time limping around the kitchen.
