they are fairly close in size.. just curious about the aset and idealscopes in how they compare and then the inclusions on the report..

thanks guys/girls..

I'm just wondering... ask her if she wants something bigger.

Older people have presbyopia, I'd look for an eye-clean to eye-cleanish SI2. She might even like low color, Js are fantastic value.

Jonas, you never use the HCA on AGS Ideal cut diamonds, and especially not on an ACA! They have already been assessed for light performance by AGS. The HCA is for GIA stones to narrow down the ones that would be in or close to AGS Ideal cut.

I think it is exciting that your mother wants a diamond now that she has seen an outstanding cut! As a mother of older children myself, I prefer VS clarity regardless of the fact that I would have to use a loupe to see the inclusions! So I think SI1 is a pretty good compromise! G color is my personal preference as well.

How exciting Jonas!

Either one is going to be fabulous since it is ACA. I have a preference for the slightly larger one, because of the size.

As one of the above mentioned older people, I am perfectly fine with SI stones. That first one really ought to be eye clean. I don't need VS myself for the mindclean aspect, if I can't see it without a loupe (and even then I had an SI stone I couldn't even see it WITH the loupe, I needed a microscope), then it's not there.

the first one is larger so I would choose that one. she can't go wrong with either one.
