Hello all! I''m a newcomer to this site and became fascinated with diamonds after getting engaged in July. Prior to that, I was quite ignorant about the pricing/quality aspect of diamonds. (Telling you about how I seriously overpaid for what is most politely described as industrial diamonds while travelling in Dubai is another story!)
Here are the basic specs of my solitaire:
- 1.2 carats on a Tiffany style setting
- D colour
- VVS1 (I think ... or was it VVS2?)
- Hearts and Arrow
- no cutlet
My ring size is 3.5 (although I decided to get it adjusted to 3.75) so the stone looks quite big on my finger. I''m not the kind of girl who wears jewelry at all so getting this sparkler was *quite* the treat! My fiance did quite a lot of research before he went to the diamond dealers in Toronto.
I have seen so many lovely rings on this site and hope to share pictures of mine once I have access to a digital camera. My cell phone camera does not do justice to the ring.
