Since October I have been working on two projects, first a 5 stone ring and second a reset of my current wedding set. I got the 5 stone at Thanksgiving time and l have really been enjoying this ring. When I picked up the 5 stone, I saw a casted version of the e-ring but the jeweler wasn't quiet happy with it. I guess in wax model it seemed fine but once in metal he felt like it could used a little more metal. I have been anxiously waiting for the new cast but with the holidays he has been very busy. Well finally yesterday I went in to approve the final cast. It is really hard to envision what it will look like once all the pave, my asscher, and the cadillac sides are set but I could still tell that it will look amazing. Although I am excited about the e-ring this isn't exactly what I am MOST excited about...haha!
So when we first started this process it was for the 5 stone and the e-ring. During the process I was able to up my budget slightly because I wanted to get larger stones on the 5 stone. To increase the stones it would have been around $400 but then I started thinking I might rather have a matching weddding band. So after weighting this against using the money towards slightly larger stones I opted for the matching band. As crazy as it sounds we never discussed the wedding band other then that it would be a killer eternity and that the width would be the same as the mid-line area of the e-ring. So what is so exciting??? Glad you asked! The wedding band is 3-SIDED!!!! I have always loved the look of the three sided bands I never imagined that that was what I was getting, mind you my budget was small and I was trying to fit 3 rings into it... He is recycling some of the diamonds from my original e-ring so this helped in the cost. I am thrilled and the two rings together on my finger (even being just casts) looked awesome. Hopefully it will be ready today but if not tomorrow morning.... I will be back with pics!
