Longtime lurker, first time poster....

So I'm looking to get an e-ring in the very near future. Looking at 1 1.2 vs2 g rb diamond. Two vendors I feel this forum holds in high regards is GOG and BGD.

So far, I have seen this diamond:

Any thoughts on the two vendors? I am also looking at getting it set by Mark Morrell. I believe GOG and BGD have both worked with him. I would like a smooth transition between buying the diamond and having it set. I am a bit of a worry wart so any thoughts would be appreciated. I'm looking to purchase mid november.

Both beautiful stones, the vendors have different return/trade/upgrade policies which is something to consider

Is Mark taking new customers again? He wasn't as of a few months ago. If he is, you're really lucky! I love his work!

I am honestly not sure if he is or not. I know a few months ago, I checked his website that said he is not accepting new customers. However, it seems that according to the website, that you can get the setting from him. I sent an email to him asking him. *crossing my fingers*

From what I understand, stock setting should still be available, just no more custom setting at the moment.

Just wondering if you know how much of a pain it is to purchase a diamond from one place and have it set in another and then have it shipped to Canada? If it's too big a risk or pain, I may choose a setting from BGD.

Should not be too much of a problem given that Mark almost always sets stone that he did not sell, do not even think he sold diamonds.

I know GOG have a line of Mark's setting that they can set in-house if you want to avoid the trouble and the setting is what you wanted, so give them a call?
