Not mine though!

I'm not sure if it is the smallest one out there, but my friend and I were talking about engagement rings and I just found out that her ring size is 2.5! OMG. I used to think that I had small fingers (I'm a 3.25), but was I wrong! Her engagement ring wouldn't even go over my knuckle

She has an emerald diamond with a halo setting. Not sure what the size is, but next time I see her, I'll take a picture! :)

I can't even imagine how small that is for a grown woman! For fun I measured my 2 year old toddler's ring size, and he's about a 1.5 or a 2. I don't understand how a fully grown adult woman can have such small fingers! I'll admit I'm jealous, lol.

That's teeny for a ring finger!

When I bought an emerald ring from Dover jewelry it was sized at 1.75. I couldn't get it past the first knuckle on my pinky finger.

LuckyHonu who used to be on here has a 2.5... she was small all over! There's a pic floating around of a bunch of PS BayArea bling on her tiny little hand. She had a 1.6 I think that looked like a 2.5c on her finger. Sadness.

But the weird thing is, these size 2.5 and size 3 fingers don't actually look all that small in photos. They just look normal sized to me. Is it just because the photos are so blown up?

What the heck. My daughter is a size three (3). I happen to have a photo of her in one of my rings-size 6-just because her hands aren't old and wrinkled like mine so she can set it off. It's a 1.38 carat, although it's in a bezel setting, so it may look a tiny bit bigger. And, yes, I thought her fingers were tiny. I still do. Because they are so long. They aren't short and small; they are long and elegant. Amazing hands! (On the other hand, she was tested for Marfan's Syndrome as a child because she was so tall and thin and her wingspan was greater than her height! Marfan's Syndrome if the disease that sometimes strikes young basketball players, causing them to drop dead, seemingly in the pink of health, because it affects their hearts!)

I know, I was thinking the same thing lol. They all look gorgeous-not crazy oversized diamonds on tiny fingers-they all look perfect! (Though I would love it if my carat size exceeded my finger size :cheeky: ).

My friend is 38 years old... when I look at her fingers, they don't seem THAT tiny though. I wish took a picture of her finger and the ring!

So tiny!! I agree that they probably only look similar size to the average size 5/6 hand because of the close up view. What I would really like to know is how tall all these ladies are!

OK, People! What Size Are You?

This has driven me crazy for years! I see these tiny rings (well, tiny to me, anyway) and I picture these miniascule, miniature women that are very rich but wear a child's size 8. Or 6x.

Especially since I am an (apparently gargantuan :-o ) ring size 7 and dress size 6. A couple of my fingers are grotesquely huge and verge over into size (gasp!) . . . 8!

But then someone mentioned that though their ring size was 3, they were not a tiny person.

So what does that mean? What dress size goes with these little fingers?

(I mean this in a light, messing-with-you, tone :D )

Proportions? I held my hand up to my size 6 ring finger friend's hand and mine was about an inch smaller, but when you look at them separately, they look like the same hands.

Size 3 ring, 5'1, 108lbs as of right now. Dress size XS or 0 usually. I can fit into a child's size L-XL, except for the boobs.

eta: Page 7 has a picture of half of me. You can see the proportions better. My wrist is about 5 inches. Oh, and I posted more handshots earlier!

I'm the same size as FK, but ring size 3.5-3.75! ::) I wish it wasn't so 'in proportion' - I'd love to have long slender fingers!

Wow! :-o That's amazing!

Laila, my first thought was that my baby ring is probably a 2-3! My mom has it but is bringing it to me soon so we can give it to our daughter for her first birthday this spring. I'll have to measure it.

My pinky is a size 4...but my left ring finger has gone from a size 6.5 to a 7.5 over the past 20 years. I never thought that was "big" until I found PS and read people's ring sizes. On a very cold day I have dared to try on stock size 6's at our jeweler's and can manage to remove them without assistance. :naughty:

Me too. We could be triplets (though I'm an inch taller, the weight and sizes are dead on). My finger is 3-3.25, depending on band width.

I'm a ring size 3.25, and I'm 5'7" and a dress size 4-6, so not super duper tiny. But I barely wear a size 6 shoe and my wrists are so tiny I've hardly worn a watch or bracelet my whole life because I can never get around to having them sized down and they drive me nuts! But, yeah, I don't think my fingers are all that long and thin, my hands just look like they belong to an 8 year old

And a ct weight exceeding my finger size? I'm nowhere close, but hey, a girl can dream!

wasn't there a poster a while ago who was a size 2? I remember my jaw dropping when I read her finger size. I think she had a 1.25ct or something similar and it was GIGANTIC on her hand.

I've always had small fingers-mine is a size 4 and I'm 5'6" and before the baby was 108lb. Now I'm 118 5 months post pregnancy but my ring still fits-although when it swells its harder to get off.

I always thought I had small fingers until I came here and saw 3 and size 2.5 fingers. I think mine was probably 3.75 before the baby but now it's for sure a 4 lol. I have to get it over my knuckle though.

I don't know anyone in real life with a finger size smaller than mine, and I wear a 5.25, which is probably 'average' on PS. I've had friends and relatives try to put on my rings, and they can get them on their pinkies, if that. I'm 5'7", around 140 lbs., usually wear a size small or a 4-6. I imagine the ladies with smaller fingers are just petite and relatively slender, but proportional.

...and when you were thinking that, you were right!!! Size 4 is tiny! Size 6 is considered average and is generally the size rings are in stores. I wear a size 6, but only one of my friends wears a 4. Most of my friends have larger fingers than I do!

I had to measure my daughter's wrist for a bracelet earlier this week. I thought I had small wrists (5.5 "...I had a 6" bracelet made). My daughter's wrist was 5"...we are having a 5.5" bracelet made! So she is like you, ForteKitty: a ring size 3 and a 5" wrist. She is 5' 4 and 3/4 " tall and trying to get down to 120 lbs again. (She is 140 now.) She was anorectic in her teens and lucky to reach a goal weight of 110 lbs. She kept slipping down into the 90's.
