HI,

Please help me decide between the two. Stone #1 is 1.27 carats G VS2 with an HCA of 1.4. ex/ex/vg/vg Stone #2 is 1.35 carats H VS2 with an HCA of 1.9 ex/vg/vg/vg. The 1.35 carat is .15 mm larger all around which to me is a noticeable size increase. Should I go for the smaller size because it scores better on the HCA 1.4 or should I stick with the larger one that scores 1.9?

Remeber HCA is for rejection and not selection.

You need more info - because both meet non rejection criteria.

It is possible for instance that the larger stone appears smaller because it may have cheated (gouged) girdle facets.

This is where an ideal-scope or a 3D scan in Gemadviser will give us the extra info.
