Unfortunately for us

we are all too familiar with these slimey creatures on the North Shore. I always wondered why the South Shore didn''t have them. I keep a lot of salt in the house. Ugghhck!

Yuck! When I first moved to NorCal I was sooo freaked out by the Banana Slugs.

Crappy cellphone pic, but you get the point they are at least 6 inches long!

Cute little guy!! I actually like slugs and snails. I spent 10 minutes shading one on its journey across the sidewalk to the grass once.

I know they''re terrible for gardens, but they''re awfully cute

so weird. i just photographed a black slug a couple of days ago. it sorta sparkled in the sunlight. i had never seen one that color.

Blech!!! I ruthlessly killed a bunch of them with salt as child. I have a zero-tolerance policy for bugs... Unless it''s something pretty like a butterfly
