I'm browsing BlueNile.
If I find a GIA EX/EX/EX diamond VS1 clarity, without comment, faint fluo medium girdle, EX HCA (1.2), is there a big chance something is bad with the diamond if the date on the certificate is 2007?
I'm interested in this stone but I'm afraid that:
~ the certificate is too old, people have messed around with the stone or the stone was in a ring and now it doesn't match the cert anymore (chip, scratch, ...)
~ the diamond was in a safe but it's ugly that's why it doesn't sell...
Wattcha think?

depending on the color grade? If it is an upper near colorless grade, then probably a buyback/trade in stone, I would get it loose and check it out with an independent appraiser or ask the vendor to send the stone back to GIA for an updated report, if that still matches paying for the cost of the update report.

It's a J 1.57ct with yummi 60% star facets 55% table. It would be fun to make a 2-stones ring with my BGD 1.56 L, I need a new ring because my Grace ring is just turning around my finger, I've lost so much weight!
But if I want to save some money, I could buy http://www.agslab.com/pdf_sync_reports/104047871002-PLDQR.PDF and create a new project...

Congratulations on your weight loss QM! Care to share your secrets? (I am assuming you didn't lose weight due to illness... if this is the case please forgive me and ignore me!)

I didn't think Bluenile accepted trade in stones?

Hi Maisie, I don't have any secret.
I don't eat meat anymore, only fish and sometimes other sea food.
I avoid food with high glycemic load.
I eat a lot of vegetables, lentils, beans, nuts, fruits, ...
A lot of Omega 3, Sushi, seaweed, ...
I tell my calories and I try to eat often but small portions.

Thank you for sharing that with me. Sorry for the mini threadjack :))
