Has anyone seen these side by side to compare? Is the Raphael setting worth the extra $$$? Any insight you can share is appreciated!

Have you seen this post? The same question was just discussed a few days ago.

Sorry, I must have missed that one in my search. The Raphael is several hundred more in the CW/size I am looking at so I''m wondering if the stones really seemed to sparkle more than the shared prong version. What did you think when you saw the rings? Thanks!

Honestly, i didn''t notice any difference in the sparkle, just the settings looked a little different. Have to admit though that i was looking priamarily at the bar setting so i didn''t inspect the other two very closely.

I think the Raphael setting looks beautiful with rounds, but it is especially good with the Asschers because it lets more light through the stone... great for a step cut and makes them very sparkly.

I guess it depends on the stones. Mine ring has 10pt Asschers which are very sparkly. I think it was worth the extra $$, but that is only my opinion.

I was able to see them side by side and honestly didn''t think there was much of a difference. Mine is the regular shared prong style and shines like no other, but that''s just my opinion. They''re both great!!

Thanks for the honest feedback.

I like the look of the shared prong better, but after trying some on at T&Co this weekend, I surprised myself by wanting smaller stones that I''d originally thought! So, because they are smaller, I want them to sparkle like crazy.
