Signed pieces price increase

Hi everyone, I have been a lurker for a while now! I love reading all of the information you have to offer and see all of your incredible diamonds!

I have been on the search for a diamond wedding band for a few month, with the help of Pricescope I found Signed pieces.

I went to my hometown jewler Saturday and looked at a .70 carat 7 stone all white gold band. The diamonds were SI1 and the color was H.

I basically said I could find a much better quality ring for the price they wanted....1,800. Pricescope has a 7 stone platinum for 1,765....well that was yesterday at 10:00 AM at 12:00 PM the price jumped to 2,100$!!

I was actually going to buy the 1.04 carat which was 2,600$ but now it is 3,300$

With my budget I can''t afford it, what is going on? I can''t believe they all the sudden changed the prices, does anyone know what''s going on or if they would still take the old price?

This ruined my week!

I''m no expert but I do believe a lot of the price increases are due to the substantial rising cost of precious metals.

Many people have been commenting that they have been watching prices not only rise but skyrocket right our of their price range.

It doesn''t hurt to call SP and ask. I expect the price increase is due to the price of platinum continuing to sky rocket.

Unfortunately platinum has been running at an all time high, I can tell you that we''re having to rely on "price of the day" with every manufacturer we work with. Here is a snap shot of the past month in the world of platinum.

I called, and you all were right, Platinum is skyrocketing.

Stinks for me because now I can''t get my ring......I''ll have to settle for smaller.
