Side Diamonds (which vendor to choose?)

Hello,

I'm looking for a matching pair of Trapezoid diamonds. I've found two different pairs from two different vendors. The carat, cut, color, clarity is almost identical, but the price is: $2,200 vs. $1,170 = $1,000 difference?

Which vendor to choose? Leibish & Co., vs. Israel Diamonds?

My first thought without clicking on the links is to pick ID's pair and pocket the $1000 savings until I saw the huge areas of obstruction. Leibish's pair is nicer looking but $2K is steep. Give IDJ a call to see what they can do. They are very well priced and if they know you are a Pricescoper, they'll help you get a nicer fancy cut stone.

By the way, Israel Diamonds use stock photos. If you take a look at all their Trapezoid diamonds, it's all the same picture. Making it difficult to know what I'm actually purchasing. I've asked them for pictures though.

That's not good. I saw the small notation below that said "actual picture" so I thought it was one of the actual stones. Yes, perhaps the actual stone will now look better.

I've done some research about them.
Problem is that their "search engine" is sooo POOR, it's impossible to find anything matching (except round diamonds).

You could always email them directly and explain what you're looking for.

I email them the spec that I needed, and they found the side stone for me within couple of days.
It was quick than ID in my case, because my spec request was kind of odd.
