Hello All^^

I'd like to hear your opinion about this .76 SI2 stone. Dealer says the inclusions, "run along the facets...are off to the side, so they`re not noticable." However, I could really use your expert advice. So, what do you think? As always, you guys (and girls ; ) are awesome, and I absolutely appreciate your time. Thanks.

Can anyone help with this? Or, are the inclusions difficult to discern from just those images? I could really use someone`s advice...

I'm confused because you are asking about a SI2 diamond, but the Solasfera stone you link to is a D-SI1, and the GIA report says it is a D-SI1... did you post the wrong stone, or is your thread title mis-typed?

Regardless, sometimes SI1 inclusions can be visible too.

GOG is a reputable dealer with a solid return policy. I'm not sure which sales rep you are working with, but I'd ask more specific questions like: "I know you are saying the inclusions are not noticeable, but are they visible at all? What distance are you viewing the stone? Are you holding it static or moving it around? Are you examining it from the top and also viewing it from all sides?"

Still, if it were me, I'd probably buy the stone and have it sent to me loose so I could examine it myself in different lighting - it looks to be a beautiful stone, and I think Solasferas can "hide" inclusions so to speak - but I would want to verify that with my own eyes.

I'd bet that it is eye clean. The stone isn't that big, the inclusions are small, and are "hidden" as was stated under facets off to the side of the table. And Solasfera's are busy stones - there's a lot going on, and I highly doubt you'll see them. GOG has a good reputation - ask them more pointed questions about it, but if they say it's eye-clean I believe them (I've purchased from them).

Re: SI2-ideal light performance...what about those inclusion

Hey^^ Thanks so much for all of the input. Sorry about the clarity mistake, it was a typo. Anyway, I have been looking at two stones from GoG (the other is nearly identical). I think you`re right - I`ve just sent an email with more direct questions to them. If it turns out well, I'll go for it and have a look myself.

Btw, other than the slight size difference, what do you think about the other one. It would be more within my budget, and there doesn`t seem to be anything ostensibly wrong with it. But I`m no expert.

Anyway, if you have a sec, let me know what you think. Thanks again!
