I'm considering a RA but it's a SI2 - do you think it's a no go? I read it's best to go for at least VS in asscher cuts as the inclusions are more visible? It's a 1.7ct F SI2 stone .. any thoughts? Also, would love to see photos of SI2 asschers...

I've attached the diamond which I'm considering. Appreciate any advise!

Get an expert advice from the vendor, I see some inclusions visible on the table, however its a good thing that there are no black incl... You may take a chance as one would only come to know about the inclusion if seen very closely and more carefully.

Try looking for VS2 clarity too.

Good luck!

The vendor said the inclusion are not visible to the naked eye but I'm not familiar with SI2 diamonds as most of mine are VS1 and above. They do have an equivalent diamond which is 1.75ct E VS1 but this is EUR10k more. Am just wondering if the SI2 stone is a better value for money :)

I would be more than happy with "eye clean".

If the naked eye can't distinguish between S1, VS1, VS2....why pay the premuim.

If you cannot spot the inclusions in the picture, then this asscher is most likely eye clean to you. I saw it right away but I am also rather sensitive to inclusions.

yes, i could spot the inclusions right away too which is my concern. however, the photo is magnified - and looks smaller in real life. Difficulty is the diamond is located in a different country and they don't have a return policy!! I need you guys to talk some sense into me ..

If it is eye clean its one in 10 million.
In general if you don't want to see inclusions they are a no go but there is always a possibility of an outlier exception but they are very very very rare.
I have never seen one but a couple vendors I respect report seeing one at one time or another.

So the question is how good is the return policy and how much would it cost in shipping to see it yourself?
