One of my favorite parts about this time of the year is all the great crafting that is going on. I spent my whole day frantically working on my Christmas cards, and I''m sure that many other crafters have been doing the same. I''d love to see what you''ve been working on!!! Knitting, quilting, paper crafts, whatever. I''m off to take photos, then I''ll be back with mine.

I am making these for my co-workers this year. And probably a couple for grandma cause, well, she''s awesome

Did you hand fold those stars? How long did they take you??? I absolutely love those ornaments!

Ok, first up. Along with leading hikes I also help out with some interpretative programs. This morning was a "Native American Crafts" program where we made some split twig figures. I thought my deer needed a bit of dressing up so I added the red nose. Hehe. This is not something I usually do so it was a great change of pace for me! Please ignore the messy craft table behind the deer!

Next up are cards. I''ve got a few more in the works, but these are the ones that are done so far. I''m starting to run out of paper, so I''m trying to be extra creative!

This is the card I made for an annual card exchange I have with some horsey friends.

These are for relatives. The white piece is covered with snowflakes that have been embossed with sparkly embossing powder. They aren''t too obvious in the photo, but in person the cards really sparkle.

These are easy to reproduce so I''m making lots and lots for various co-workers.

Another easily completed card.

You ladies are so clever!!! All of these are so darn cute.

Crafty ladies!

I used to make Xmas cards. I haven''t had time in the last few years. I love paper almost as much as I love fabric! One year I took a pic of one of my boys kissing their baby sister on the cheek and my other son smiling. I layered it on top of some fun papers and printed the phrase '' Merry Kissmas'' on cardstock and layered that on top. It was super cute!

Awesome cards; love the details, way amazing!!!!

I''m usually not very crafty but I thought I would give this a try and I''m pretty happy with how it turned out

Yes :) and they don''t take long at all, I usually can crank out one ornament full in a half hour or so. But I have been making them a really long time so they are easy for me. When I was first learning OH I messed up so much paper! Lol

You ladies are so crafty, I love this thread!

EricaR, your cards are phenomenal!!!! Do you use a gocco machine??

THANK YOU!!

Haha!!! No I didn't make the whole wreath!!! I wish I was that talented...I just decorated it. Which I guess would be the easy part

No gocco machine! I do it all with rubber stamps and a die cutting machine (which I use to cut out the shapes like the snowflake, the envelope, and the dove).

Decorating the wreath is just as impressive. I really love the bow.

One year I spent weeks, and a ton of $$, making handmade boxes to put gift certificates in. I covered them in fabric and lined them with ribbon, inside and out. I even put padding underneath the fabric inside on the bottom of the box so it looked as if the gift certificates were sitting on a pillow. They took forever... When they were finally finished I wrapped a bow around them and made a flower type ornament that attached... I was very proud of myself... I packed them up on Christmas day and set them out by the car to bring with us to our family''s houses. We were all set to go. Hubby packed the presents, I packed the children, we got in the car, put it in reverse, and CRUNCH... He ran over my boxes!!!!! He hadn''t seen them and OMG, I was so upset!!!!! I went through them all and decided that I would give the ones that looked okay to my MIL and SIL, and we went on our way...

After Christmas was over I asked my MIL if she had liked the box that I had painstakingly made, to which she replied... Oh, I was supposed to keep that!!!!!!!

I laugh about this every year with my husband now, but boy, I was so upset at the time, lol! Sadly, it was the last time I ever made a holiday craft to give away...

Erica, your cards are beautiful, and I love that wreath!

Ali, they are so easy and so much fun! If this link is not allowed let me know - I think metacafe has been linked before. But it''s a tutorial on how to make them!

LOL oobiecoo, it''s funny you should say that, because my husbands nephew tried to eat them, too. They do look like candy! Mine are more shiny this year, like iridescent.

Thanks for sharing the secret MonkeyPie

I will have to try these

Great work everyone and Monks I love your ornaments!

Monkeypie, I stared at these for a second thinking they were marshmallows before I realized you had FOLDED all those stars. Color me impressed. What a cute ornament.

EricaR those cards are so pretty, I''d feel nervous writing anything on them!

a-ha!!! I didn''t realize how fabulous a die cutting machine was until now! seriously...adorable cards!!!

monkeypie, i love your ornaments too! i learned how to make those stars when i was in grade school and my grandma used to cut strips of wrapping paper for me to make them. i also used the tear-off edges from the old school printing paper (hopefully you remember what i''m talking about). needless to say, i''ve filled up many of my grandma''s jars with those stars!

I make so many cards that I lost the "fear" over writing in them a long time ago! In October and November of each year I make TONS of holiday cards that I sell at my work''s Craft Fair. The leftovers become my personal cards. Well, this year I sold so many cards (well over 100!!!) that I didn''t have any left over for me to use. I''m totally burned out on making cards, yet here I am every night, at the craft table, cranking them out... Meh. I''ve got about 20 more to go, and then I can put everything away for a few weeks.

Or until it is time to start making Valentine''s Day cards...

My Die Cutting machine is fantastic. Seriously fantastic! I''m lucky enough to live near the Sizzix warehouse, and in November I was able to pick up a Big Shot for just $25! That is 75% off...! Thats also where I got the snowflake. The dove, envelope, and that white "Top Note" shape are all from Stampin'' Up and I can''t get them anywhere else. Thats ok, I''m using them enough to pay for them!

Monkeypie, I thought they were candy too; wow, those are amazing!!!

I made a few wreaths, they are fun and those glue guns make them easy but I doubt I could make those cards, soooo beautiful or those stars Monkey.
