Hi Everyone,

I thought it would be fun for everyone to post all the gorgeous jewelry pieces you''ve aquired in 2008 AND to post your planned projects for 2009. For the 2009, this is not a wish/daydream list (saying you''d love 10 ctw diamond studs), but an actual list of items you''re stashing $ under your mattress in preperation for designing/ordering.

Cool thread, MC!

I turned 30 on May 31, 2008, and DH got me a BEAUTIFUL pair of princess-cut diamond studs from WhiteFlash. They are 0.72 carats each (1.44 carats total), H color and SI1 clarity. The settings are 14k yellow gold martinis. Here''s the pic that WF e-mailed me before shipping them:

My next project is my Christmas present, which has been ordered, but won''t get here until January, so I''m not sure if it counts as a 2008 or 2009 project! LOL! It''s this Beverley K band from Pearlman''s!

There is a box under the tree from my favorite jeweler but I don''t have a clue as to what it is. All I know is that it was not on my wish list. So I''ll have one more 2008 item very soon.

Plans for ''09? Hmmmm...Not sure yet! For sure I''m going to have my new tsavorites set. DH surprised me with an early X-Mas pressie! I have ten .15 tsavorites. I think they will be in a bezeled eternity (or almost eternity) band for a fun stacking RHR.

For Mother''s Day I really want three teeny tiny eternity bands. Two white gold with diamonds (for the boys) and one rose gold (for the girl) with light pink sapphires (the color of stones in Tacori''s Tessa ring).

Other plans depend on the economy!

My 2008 treat is a Beverley K band from Pearlman''s to celebrate the birth of my son.

I won''t get it until mid-January though, but I will definitely post lots of pictures!

Nothing planned for 2009...but who knows what will happen next year!

I also have a new yellow gold tourmaline ring that I still haven''t posted here and a ruby cross pendant, which is my pre-Christmas gift from DH (our weird tradition, we buy each other two gifts - a pre-Christmas one and an actual Christmas present). In fact, I ordered the pendant myself but hubby loved it so much that he insisted to pay for it so it could be a gift from him. Well, can''t say that I mind.

I got my e-ring (0.96 concave brillant sapphire cut by Richard Homer in a Ritani Classic setting) and I also got a couple of silver stacking rings. In 2009 I''ll be getting my w-ring (not sure what yet) and probably a few more gold/silver stacking rings.

Thanks! I absolutely love it and everyone who sees it in person is just blown away - most have never seen a sapphire that''s not black-ish blue and none have ever seen a concave cut.

2008 - ering reset and new wedding band! (Which WF named the Danielle band on the site when they added it to the catalog, LOL!)

2009 - the mattress money is slowly building until I can afford .25tcw bezel studs from WF.

Yeah, I've had quite a few, "That's a sapphire?????" (said in complete disbelief) comments. I'm sure it's because most people around here have never seen a decent sapphire, let alone one cut like this. I have to explain that, yes it's a sapphire and that this is the color they are supposed to be, not BLACK.

PS - I'm so glad WF named the band after you - you've been immortalized in jewelry!!! LOL!
