Show me your upgrades from engagement to present ring

[Upgradable]

I know that we Pricescopers have somewhat of a unique history in size and scope of our diamonds, but I thought it would be interesting to show a pictoral progress of our own upgrades from our first engagement ring to what we currently wear.

I''ll start with mine.
~ In 1986 DH gave me a .60 transitional cut diamond he inherited from his great aunt. It was set into a solitaire made from the gold of my great-grandmothers wedding band,
~ In 2005 we bought a new 1.4 carat HRD certified I SI2 ideal cut stone and set it into a new setting. The stone measures 7.2mm.
~ In 2008 we upgraded the setting to a Beverley K halo which gives a total spread of 12.5mm!

Hello Upgradeable, here is a picture of my 1.52ct with my 1/4ct. I just recently got the 1/4ct from my husband. I had a 1/4ct when we first got engaged and lost it within 2mos. We got married with plain gold bands (awesome), and last year on our 16th anniversary he bought me the 1.52ct. He also knew how much I missed my first engagement ring and just 2mos ago, bought me the 1/4ct, that I wear on my pinky finger next to my wedding set.

What about a stock photo of something similar, just to give the idea?

1.88 cts. 6.7mm x 8.75mm
16x round brilliants, approx .60 ctw.
Setting in white and yellow gold.

2.04 ct unheated sapphire from Sri Lanka.
8 x ACA rounds of approx .80 ctw
2 x pears of approx .65 ctw
Setting in Platinum and yellow gold.

Upgraded because I lost the first one (actually, I threw it out by mistake!)

I''ve had 2 upgrades. This is my original set which I still have. The diamond was my hubby''s grandmother''s stone. It''s a .30ct J VS1.

For my 15th anniversary we upgraded to a princess solitaire which was then reset into this setting. It was a J SI1 1.61ct.

And here is my latest and most likely last. It's a 2.52ct FLY VS2.

ETA: This was bought last year as a 2 yr late 25th anniv present.

My original wedding band is 25 years old and I cant find one like it anymore

and I took the ring apart and had it the stones reset into something else, that is something I really regret, but I guess I could describe it. I had a .18 round diamond solitare, not sure of the stats but I would say I color SI2 in a tiffany style setting with a yellow gold band, the wedding band was a slim band of rubies and diamonds the total ct weight was maybe .06 in diamonds and .08 in rubies. I wore that ring set for years. I got my upgraded set in my avatar in 2002, it is a 1.01 princess, I color SI2 and the wedding band is .25, I have no clue the clarity and color but I do know that the diamonds are not pretty

and I want to replace the wedding band next year.

ok......started with a .50 -ish center, at 10 yrs went to 2.01 princess, and at 12 yrs went to 1.96 transitional........
