Inspired by a conversation between @BlingBlingLova and @Matthews1127, I wanted to start a thread where we could show pictures and share stories of milestone or moment-marking jewellery.

I’m going to collect some photos of mine and post soon! Looking forward to see yours, and especially- hearing the stories. That’s what makes it so special.

gorgeous!! Are some of these Tiffany? Are the first two sets earrings? Any ear pics? :)

I love that you have jewellery for these big anniversaries! #goals but my fifth anniversary has already passed... maybe we will do decades instead haha

congrats on 25 years of marriage! What’s the plan for 30? <3

And who picks the pieces? Is it you, or do you get surprised?

They are all Schlumberger for Tiffany.. I can't plan ahead for thirty since my anniversary gifts are always dependent on my husband's business revenues that year.

As for choosing, I stole a great idea from a friend years ago. I have a file in my husband's file cabinet filled with printout of things I like. When he wants to buy me a gift he can pull it out to seek inspiration or take it shopping or just ask the sales assistant at Tiffany's (or at the estate jewelers!!)

This is my favorite piece in my collection. Here’s the story behind it. I was with my mom when she bought this piece in the 80’s. There was a department store in Texas caller Service Merchandise. This piece was originally a ring. She bought 2: one ruby and one sapphire, but both look exactly the same. I remember my mom wearing the rings while I was growing up, alternating between the 2. Fast forward to 2007, my mom’s gift to me on getting my PhD was the ruby version while my older sister got the sapphire version. Because it was from the 80’s, I really did not like the ring. The ring portion was a thick, basket weave design in yellow gold, so not my style! So the ring was sitting in the back of my jewelry box with no love or attention. Then, 2 years ago, I came across it again while we were moving and I thought, why not make it into a pendant? And I did. And I love it! I always always wear this piece! And every time my mom sees it on me, she is so happy! She tells me all the time, It makes me so happy to see you wearing my jewelry! Such a small piece, probably not worn more than $100, but it means the world to me! Love you mommy.

That is absolutely brilliant. I am definitely going to see if my DH would be up for that!!!

And it looks absolutely lovely as a necklace!!

I love this thread, and I'm probably tempting fate by posting here because I'm trade and not allowed to post photos, but if you peak over at my profile pic you'll see my milestone jewelry. I guess you could call it a milestone(?) It was the ring I had made from my engagement ring stone. I'd thought about trying to sell the stone and just get something new, but I decided that the stone was far too pretty to let go of, and it wasn't her fault that my ex turned into my ex, so I gave her a new home! French cut black and white diamonds set in 18k white gold.

I perked up when I saw the Schlumberger band---love that ring in all its permutations and stones.
Have you considered the Tiffany Schlumberger egg charms---I think they are beautiful.

My 1.19ct E VS1 EC from Diamondhouse of Antwerp, Belgium.

It was purchased in the second half of 2004, with money that I saved for 5 years originally intended for a holiday with my then husband to celebrate my 40th birthday the following year.

By the time the 5-year saving plan matured, I had already decided to part company with my husband. So I decided to use the money to purchase a larger EC as my 40th birthday present instead (my ER was 3-stone EC ring, 0.75cttw).

I gave the bench our platinum wedding bands, with the intention for them to be used as part of the new ring.

I did not like the setting, too angular, the shank too narrow and the stone sat too high for my liking. My fault for not getting involved with the setting design - I just gave the instruction that it must be bezel set, that's all.

I did not change the setting for years due to sentimental reasons. However, I then learnt via PS that it was highly unlikely for a bench to melt down existing jewellery to make new ones.

So I changed the setting in time for my 50th birthday.

To date, it is my most treasured piece of diamond jewellery - it is bitter and sweet at the same time.

The EC in its original setting that I would normally wear with a 2mm Titanium band to provide better finger coverage.

The same ring next to the new setting:

The EC in its new setting on the day I collected her from the local bench that performed the re-set (it was a very cold day, hence the dry hand). The setting was made by diamondmounts of eBay based in China.

Another pic taken when I was back at my place of work at the time:

The EC in its forever home. However, I did manage to bend the shank at the bottom quite badly recently. Therefore, if I were to do anything with the setting, it would be a reset in the same but sturdier design.

DK :))

Zelda!!!!! I probably shouldn’t admit how often I have drooled over Zelda. Simply gorgeous!

The EC looks beautiful in both settings but I have to say, that is a really beautiful reset. :)

Ooo I don’t think I realized that the black was diamonds and not onyx! I like it even more now. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. And I’m so glad you didn’t let that stone go <3

@Matthews1127 I love all those pieces and stories!! I will read the other threads in depth, later, but for now would humbly request an ear shot of the Valentine’s Day earrings? They look gorgeous!

These have become “game day” earrings, when our NCAA Lacrosse player has games.
His school colors are blue and gold. I was so excited to wear these. So sad COVID-19 put an unexpected dent in their season, this year. My heart goes out to Seniors who missed out on so much.
Our boy is going into his Junior year, in the Fall, so we have 2 more seasons ahead, and that gives me more opportunity to wear these lovelies!F1EFD6B9-64E2-44D4-8C1A-1FEEF1C6FEAE.jpeg9981A0E2-019B-4A42-9A97-AD313A3BD29E.jpeg

My most memorable milestone pieces are my full eternity ring & my certed hot pink untreated sapphire from Madagascar. Also a plain 1.75mm 18ct yellow gold Tiffany Lucida for our 10th Wedding Anniversary.

We were engaged & married quickly (18 months from 1st date to wedding day) so when our 1st Anniversary arrived, Mr T mentioned getting an eternity ring. I was 5 months pregnant with our eldest & suggested we waited until our family was safely complete. I had 2 rings within 18 months & wanted to spread them out!

But then after our 1st was born, Mr T surprised me with the sapphire set in a simple platinum ring, with daughters name & DOB engraved inside. It's beautiful & very glowy. When daughter 2 arrived, he took me by total surprise with the full eternity, ramming it onto my swollen finger the next day, where it stayed for 2 weeks until I could get it off! It's worth saying that I was advised against pregnancy due to a bleeding disorder, so both times I was monitored VERY closely, they were both emergency c-sections & i almost died with the 2nd. It was literally heart-stopping bleedy under general anaesthetic. It was with utter relief he got that ring on my finger - he said it was like putting a Full Stop at the end of the baby journey.

The Tiffany Lucida was a band I've always wanted. My skin loves a rich gold, but 90% of my stuff is platinum. I chose it to mark our 10th anniversary & intend to add to it over the years with other skinny Tiffany celebration rings. I'm looking to mark 15 years next year to add to it - 5 year increments feel about right.

Love your rings and your story!!
That which does not kill us only makes us stronger!
You must have the strength of Hercules! Cheers to your DH for placing that eternity on your swollen finger to signify “family complete” and “a life without you is no life at all”.
So glad your story has a happy ending!!!
Blessings to you and your family!!! ♥

I love all your pieces, @Matthews1127 , and I particularly enjoyed seeing your earrings as I don’t think I have seen those before. Beautiful!

Thank you! I did not create a separate thread for them. I posted them briefly on a Valentine’s Day bling thread. I really do love them because they are the perfect shade of blue and I love the hombre effect. Simple, but the perfect amount of sparkle to cheer on a WIN! lol!

We were on vacation and I bought this off of the real real. I love it. Platinum with baguette diamond sides. It is probably not PS quality but you those times when you just don’t mind? Yep.
