I have a simple Marquise solitaire. Diamond: 1.17 ct, D, SI1, Med Blue, 10.51 x 5.5 x 3.47, 62% depth, 59% table. Setting is a platinum solitaire from Roseco. The only good photos I have of my rings are from my daughter's first pro pictures.

My original e-ring (from the early 90's) is a 1/2 carat, F, SI1. Excellent cut and VERY sparkly. I don't really wear it as it in in yellow gold, don't like how it looks on my skin tone. Also I recently got an upgrade :naughty: .

Have you look in the eye candy folder? I remember see quite a few Marquise stones in there :D
Love this!!

Not an engagement ring (in my case) but a lovely marquise. I’m going to reset it soon to be east west oriented but wanted to post a few pics of it as is to the thread.

Auto correct strikes again! The estate ring was made in the 1940’s, not inmate 1940’s:evil:

Hi there. My lovely new ring arrived from James Allen. I wear it on my middle finger but could easily be an engagement ring. I never thought I'd get a marquise but I am in love.

Monipod, Love your marquis ring from JA. What are the stats on your stone?

Never thought I would buy a marquis diamond but so much easier to find nice faceting on a marquis over an oval or pear and other fancy cuts. I love ALL shapes with the old cut faceting and open culets but trying to find an old cut marquis in my budget is not easy.

Bumping for more marquis!

Thank you :) I think the idea of getting bang for buck prevailed and a marquise does provide that! And yes, I think the cut is more forgiving and look glorious even when not a 'perfect' stone.

I nearly ordered a K VS1 1ct marquise when for some reason I decided to do one last search including high colours (I never had all this time thinking I couldn't afford a D/E/F). This F stone popped up and I had to look twice. I saw that it was I1 though, so I struggled with clarity over colour. I studied the GIA report for a loooong time and bugged about 3 different online consultants about it. I decided to take my chances as the majority of inclusions were at 2 o'clock and likely to be hidden by a prong. The others were on the face but were white needles and crystals. I really struggle to see them without a loupe though no doubt they do interfere with maximum brilliance.

She's 1.07 carat and 10.5mm by 5.8 so very spready. I am sure there are better sparklers out there but for my budget (around $2K), this more than makes me happy :D I had money left over for another purchase
