So I know marquise (marquis?) cuts are not very popular on this forum, but I''ve kinda fallen in love with the shape and how big they look for their carat weight.

Please post your marquise cuts be they in a ring, necklace, etc!

Also, how do you find the sparkle/scintilation/fire of a marquise vs other cuts?

That's lovely!

And... it's 2.4cts - I would've guessed at least three!!

I love my marquise. It shows lots of colorful fire, especially in sunlight and elevators. Stats: 1.17 ct, D, SI1, Med Blue, 10.51 x 5.5 x 3.47, 62% depth, 59% table.

Ok, that last pic was a little big, hopefully this one will be better.

Wow both rings are so gorgeous! Do marquise cuts sparkle have the same sparkle as round brilliants?

Yes Kay, the mother-baby photo is simply precious. I love seeing the larger version of it!

Your marquise er is very complementary to you elegant long fingers!

I met a woman here in China who has a really pretty marquise ring - every time she''s near me I want to ask to look at it more closely - I wonder how she''d respond to me asking to photograph it lmao

Just started working with a very young lady, she wears a pretty marquise with a diamond jacket, I thought so 80's at first, all of us keep looking at her hand daily

I''m starting to like marquis cuts. I think they are making a comeback.

Thanks for the kind comments Lulie, Lucky & Bella. Not sure if they would ever be as popular as they once were. I'm guilty of 'dressing up a marquise' good old days lol

I think marquis cuts are lovely and soooo underrepresented... I love how PSers here have set them in really modern looking bands. Lovely.

I love marquise cuts too. I think that they make the hand look so elegant. My mom''s ring is a 1.5 ct marquise with .5 cttw baguettes on the sides. It looks just like this one, but I don''t have a photo:

I''ve never been a huge fan of Marquise unless it''s for pendants and sometimes earrings, but I loved the shape in this ring.
