I really, really want diamond stud earrings. Right now I normally wear pearls or other gemstone earrings. My husband and I will be celebrating our anniversay in March and he said I can get earrings. He got a quote from LM and VC, to my surprise LM was more affordable. My husband wants to get them via VC, since he does have really good customer service and my husband got one of my engagement rings and wedding band from him, and he is incredible. LM made my first engagement ring, and its seems that LM is trying to improve his customer service skills, his communication has been better. Oh and the other thing is that the diamonds that LM quoted are a grade better in clarity.- what would you do in this scenario? And part of me feels like I should get a quote from SK, just to see the best price because to me they are all, But my husband is the type of person that once he finds a good business he sticks with them.

BUT here is the other thing:
I am getting a little lipo on my tummy next summer (please don't judge, i have worked out, I eat 100% organic. I guess its stubborn left over fat from my baby) so that will be another big expense since I have to fly out to LA. OR should I just buy the diamonds via James Allen and then get the settings done later? Buying the diamonds by March would make me feel less guilty.

I want .50 -.60 carat per ear in a halo setting or with jackets so I can get sapphires later.

so, if you have halo diamond stud earrings please show me, I am looking for round cut. thanks

Mine are not halo but jackets, the studs are 0.98ct total weight, bezel-set, and diameter of the bezel is 6mm.

The jackets are 1ct total weight, and the studs fit snuggly inside the jackets.

I bought some 6mm studs in white gold, white and black pearls, so that I can interchange them with the diamond studs when less bling is required.

The diamond studs were gifted to me by my mum when I was 14. They looked fine on my ears when I was a lot skinnier than I am now. Hence I needed to pair them up with some jackets so that they look better on my big earlobes.

Here is a pic of the jackets with different studs:

And here is a pic of my diamond stud in the jacket on my big earlobe (the diameter of the jacket is about 12mm):

I love my earring jackets as I find them very versatile, and a pair of neon pink red CS about 6mm in diameter is on my wish list.

DK :))

I have both diamond jackets and also haloed diamond studs. You can see both in these threads:

The centre diamonds for my studs are 0.5ct each and the smaller diamonds are 1.5 points each. I wear them a lot, like 5 days a week. They are my go to studs. Perfect with everything and more coverage than just plain diamond studs. The design is similar to my engagement ring but also the Tiffany circlet style of earrings:

The difference is that I have millgrain on mine rather than a plain bezel.

I had the good folks at I.D. Jewelry make me a pair of cushion halo jackets to match the new setting on my spare round diamond. I'm not here often any more to see alll the replies but I hope this helps.

I didn't add that my studs are each .39 pts and G VS2s, and the jackets are made of F/G .03 pt. stones and are 3/4 ct. total weight.
