Show me your french cut moissanite

Thought I’d start a thread for easy searching down the line. I had to go page by page through all the tianyu and stargems threads to try to find pics of French cut moissys, not that it wasn’t a fun browse full of eye candy!

I know a few people have ordered French cut moissanite and thought it might be nice to have them all in one place for reference.

I feel like French cuts actually benefit from the optic properties of moissy as there are more rainbow flashes.

Here is my 2mm French cut moissy band from tianyu set in plat.

Would love to see more French cuts in different sizes and styles!!

I want to follow this because I am really liking the French cut eternity ring. I know it's not super sparkly, but I love the subtle beauty it gives off. I am debating on asking Starsgem to make me one of these as Tianyu has gotten kinda expensive these days...

This is the one I had made from Tianyu:



This is the only one I have seen from Starsgem (not mine). The miligrain looks a bit finer and the stones look about the same as the one from Tianyu:

Those are gorgeous. Thank you esp for showing me the eternity band from Starsgem! I'm going to ask Starsgem for the costs.

Sounds a bit high. Mine is 18K & Palladium and I think I paid $400 for a full eternity...some of the other Alibaba vendors might be higher. I would try a few different companies for comparison.

Thanks! Okay, good, I thought the price was very high, and it's not even Tianyu, but Provence. Also, mine was for 14K white gold! I thought they would be ok to go to since I've seen some smaller bands made for other PSers, but I guess not.

I haven't asked for a quote from Starsgem or Mona yet. I don't think I'll ask Tianyu to make it.

Not sure if you received an answer to your question, but I have a French cut moissy band, and I can tell you it doesn’t shine as nicely as diamonds. The shine looks “shallow” and dull in some lighting. As expensive as they are French cut diamonds are really special.

I like moissanite and I do think moissanite can look good in older cuts, but they have to be a little larger than the 2mm French cuts to really look good. Or if you’re going for smaller/melee stones, it’s best to stick with modern/brilliant cuts. I have a moissy band with round brilliants and they look really nice and rainbowy.
