Show me your eternity band with 10-15 pointers

I am currently considering a couple of different options for a alternative engagement ring, one of them being an eternity ring with 10-15 point stones.

I am trying to get perspective as to the finger perspective given by these rings. I wear a size 6 3/4, but will probably order the ring in a larger size, because I hate for rings to fit too snuggly. Also, I have extremely short fingers.

I know the best way to decide what I want is to try rings on myself, and I have, but I would also like some other perspectives if you guys will oblige me! I have looked at the SMTB thread for eternity rings, but didn't know if there were any that I missed!

here is my eternity band, the stones are 10 pointers.

it's from ID jewelry and i absolutely love it. sits super low on my finger and is really comfortable.

as a reference, my ring size is 4.75

Your ring is beautiful! Do you feel like it is substantial enough to wear on its own? Do you have an face on shots of just the eternity band?

I am not exactly sure on the points of these diamonds just yet on each one but they all make up .85 carat - so around the size points of stones you are looking for. So its .85 carat, 7 diamonds graded K-L color & SI clarity. These pictures are on a size 4.5 hand (I have not got the ring yet) but will be sizing it to a size 6-6.5

Is your heart set on the eternity band?
What about a five or seven stone band? You could get larger diamonds for the same price...

I have a 15 point 3/4 eternity from IDJ - it's made up of 16 stones, so 2.4 ctw. It's a size 7 and I also have short fingers, so it should be a good comparison for you! I love my ring and think it is definitely substantial enough to wear stand along - mine is a right hand ring, always worn by itself, and I think it's very blingy!

Do you have any particular settings or vendors in mind?

I am probably going to go with a u-prong or lattice setting. Mark Morrell has a beautiful eternity ring posted on his website, but I am looking to get quotes from several vendors, because price does come into play

How was your experience with IDJ? Do you love the stones they used? I know how important cut is, so I want to make sure the stones used in my ring have great cut!

Here is the Mark Morrell ring that I like. I just think the profile is so pretty, althought I could take or leave the heart shaped prongs. If it is possible, I think I would prefer this profile will thinner, claw-like prongs, so they wouldn't be so prominent.



One thing I am very particular about is that I want the prongs to be set in more towards the middle, so I get that scalloped look from the diamonds. I don't like the squared off look that some eternity rings get from the prongs. I'm not sure it is completely possible with diamonds this size, but here are a few examples. First LAG2010's eternity that has 20 pointers, so a little bit bigger than I am looking. And then Frankie's eternity ring with 8 pointers.

My half eternity is nine 15 pointers, all G color for a total of 1.36 in platinum. Size 10 ring. Set low. Got it today and LOVE it.
