Not a cushion, but an old cut pear. 2.06, L color, very old stone (estimated to be cut in Georgian period). Sorry for th diversion, but there are so few old pears and this is a very old one. Thought it fit.

Oooo I love this. What shape are the sides may I ask? Kites?

Yes, they are kite-shaped diamonds. The ring is my own design, bench work by Leon Mege’s company. I drew kite shaped metal work that housed a large and small MRB inside, to go with the halo pave, but Leon convinced me to go with the actual kite diamonds - he was right ;)2

Does your ring have its own thread here, or do have more photos?

I like the different pattern around the stone. Nice old cut too.

@Mjay - the cutting looks so lively. Do you have any hand shots?

I don't have a thread on it. I can try to get another photo next time I wear it!

These were certified by GIA as OECs, but I think they may be older flavored ones (early OECs) in the sense that they have OMB characteristics e.g. deeper depth (69% - 72%), tiny table (43% - 44%) and are cushiony shaped.

Ooo a 3-stone OEC ring with OMB flavors? Tell me more! Do you have a thread on this, @maita13?

3.48 S/T stone from Grace, setting by Platt 40207010-B914-44B5-BE21-BDF21018597D.jpeg F9BAABB8-98B2-44B1-80DB-6A6D4857C394.jpeg

Okay- I normally don't like solitaires. But this! Lovely. Really a great combo.

Thank you! I think it is a lovely stone. I wish it was about a carat bigger! Wouldn't a 3 plus carat of that be nice?!

I can hardly even imagine how I’d handle a 3 carat version! But can’t say I hate the thought of seeing it on my finger

Here is my little baby which I have yet to take more photos of and do a SMTB thread for hehe. At this rate I will wait for Christmas to arrive and have some pretty colours to photograph it with hahaha.

I LOVE your ring. Can you tell me more about the stone? And setting?
