Should I buy this diamond?

Hello, I have been looking at many diamonds and have come across one I think I really like. I have seen some high tech pictures and analysis of diamonds but have not seen anything like that nor do I know how to get it for this particular diamond. Can anyone tell me if this diamond is worth buying and is the best I can get for the price? Thank you so much for the help I really appreciate it!

According to the HCA tool, it does not do well at all. It scores 5.5 and you want something 2 or under. It only has "fair" light return.
This puzzles me - it looks good and JA is calling it an excellent cut.
PSers - am I missing something here?

The HCA tool only really gives information about a specific "cut" of diamond. For example, the HCA tool will almost always say that a 60 / 60 diamond has bad light return, even though it is a look that many people prefer (same with OEC diamonds). So a person going for that look of diamond will have difficulty relying on the HCA tool.

For this diamond, the crown angle on this one is high for a Tolkowsky cut, so for that cut it probably is not an "ideal cut" diamond.

I think you should ask for an Ideal Scope and ASET image of the stone to see what the light return looks like. If I had to guess I'd say that the center of the stone is going to be a bit darker than is typical, but that doesn't make it a "bad" diamond, it's all about preference.

You are wrong about this point.

I just plugged in reasonable numbers, with 60/60: 1.7 on the HCA

Fooled around a bit - many 60/60 stones score well on the HCA.
