Hi there, welcome :wavey: I don't know what the stone is, but it does look interesting.

I am not an expert, however, my hunch is that the rock is a piece of Obsidian, as in volcanic glass.

DK :))

Dk is right. It definitely looks like obsidian. But I can't tell what the other crystals on the outside are.

My first thought was obsidian as well. Are you anywhere near a volcano, even one that is dormant or extinct?

No i found it in the Netherlands, dont know what to do with it.

if i hold it in the light i can see trough the rock its shines lightpurple then.

Makes a wonderful mineral specimen that doubles as a paperweight. :))

It does look like it could be obsidian, but it could also be slag, which is an industrial byproduct. Especially if there were ever any metal smelting operations/blast furnaces in the area. Some of it can look quite glassy.

That is very cool. I would love to find something like that in my backyard. Have you checked on line to see what minerals are indiginous
in your area. Don't get rid of it!
