Hi,
I am new here and hope one of you who seem so knowledgeable would take time to answer my question.
I have a pretty light/medium blue cushion sapphire, 1.83 carats, 7.24 x 6.88 x 4.24 deep; and I want to set it with shield sidestones. I am thinking of having a total sapphire ring with white sapphires for the shields.
I am going to need to have them cut.
Is there any way I can figure out what the dimensions of the shields should be?
I have looked through this site, trying to figure this out, but there are not many posts about shields.
My ring will be in platinum, size 6, if that enters into things.
