I never ever seen her show but I have seen a clip and she sounds like a nightmare. I think anyone who has a reality show has an ego to begin with so it doesn't surprise me when these people feel entitled to that kind of money.

In theory, I agree that both parents should contribute to the funds necessary to raise a child. Especially when both have the funds an can easily put into the joint pot for expenses. But asking for her own medical and being the designated beneficiary for a life insurance policy? Tacky.

that is what I thought too. I agree, both parents should share in the expenses of the child.

Aren't they both wealthy? Maybe some of her demands sound money-grubbing but the life insurance, for example, is common and may be required by statute in some states. Agreed with Thing- they should both be financially responsible for their children. For him, that would be an amount proportional to his income, regardless of whether it is less than hers.

Which isn't to say she isn't awful! I don't know much about her.

I didn't think he was particularly wealthy, but I didn't think he was broke. I just found it kind of disturbing that she is asking for anything from him considering her extensive wealth. I would ordinarily expect it to be equal for the care of the child, but in cases like this, I don't think asking for money when you're the obvious primary breadwinner and you're requesting primary custody is necessary. I dunno.

I always thought she was pretty cool and funny and quite down to earth despite her skyrocket to the top, and I actually had a little respect for her for being fairly self-made despite the reality show image...but this divorce thing totally changed my opinion of her. It seems like she used him to get a baby and had no intention of ever staying married to him, just did so for the tv show and the subsequent opportunities it got her. I feel like he got played. He isn't a saint surely, but still. Wow.

I just thought her demands of the divorce were insane considering her incredible wealth.

It does boggle the mind, doesn't it? I mean... you can't function already on your $50Mil bank account, that you need MORE? Its out of my realm of comprehension...

I do agree tho, father should be involved and contributing to the welfare of his child. Not that mom couldn't do it, but it is an obligation which comes with creating life - you are morally bound to keep that life safe, nurture that child and provide it with all the necessities that you can provide to the best of your abilities. (not everyone follows that "morally bound" notion tho )

Kids are always caught in the collateral damage... its so sad.

I would think after the crazy way she was raised, she wouldn't go the way she is going. I think Jason is great, and also know she worked hard to make sure the show would be in NY instead of LA so Jason could be with his daughter.

My wish is that they figure it out privately and amicably and that poor sweet Brynn isn't in the middle. Gah...

Of course they both pay to support her, but getting into a pissing match now?? ReallY That's sad...

To be fair, being worth $50 million doesn't mean she has $50 million in liquid assets.
