This morning I went to pick up my wedding band at Shenoa & Company jewelers on 47th and 5th, and almost got screwed into having to accept a "rigged" ring! The band was supposed to match my e-ring (it''s a Tacori style eternity ring with diamonds all around and on the sides)......but they totally messed it up. Instead of ordering me a size 4 band (like I requested), they just took a size 5 or 6 and soldered (welded) more metal on the inside diameter of the ring to turn it into a sz 4. This resulted in a really awkward ring that stuck out really far from my finger instead of being nice and snug. It was like drilling a hole the size of my finger through a quarter! It was really stupid looking, and didn''t line up properly with my e-ring (that is the same exact style). Then to make matters worse, Kerry (the guy working there) was trying to fast talk his way into telling me that there was nothing wrong with the ring and that he got for me!

Yeah, I get that feeling from them . Check out Signed Pieces inthe mall next door. Excellent pieces and they custom make.

Jeez, that''s crazy! Thanks for the tip

Wow, i''m sorry, i''ve only heard bad things about Shenoa so i''d definiltely stay away from them. I ordered mine from Signed Pieces, which wasn''t horrible but wasn''t great either. Luckily, they have great customer service and return policy. In the future, i''m staying away from the diamond district altogether, it seems like you just get what you pay for.

Hi. I got my E ring from them, and LOVED the whole experience. I recently went back with FI to pick out wedding bands, and they tried to quote me double what I saw online. I got my band from signedpieces b/c I refuse to deal with Shenoa anymore. So, what are they going to do? Are they going to redo your ring?

Wow...if I knew they were so bad I would have never gone back....I guess I''m lucky that my e-ring came out ok.
So throughout this whole ordeal, Kerry was making me freak out because he was acting like I was stuck with that ring because it''s what I ordered and blah blah blah....and there''s nothing he could do about it...and he isn''t going to "just eat this ring." But once he realized that I knew what I was talking about and that I wasn''t going to accept the ring, he started telling me that he''s having all this trouble with the company overseas and he''s not going to work with them anymore etc......all the while I know that Shenoa tried to screw me, not the other company....so I asked for a refund and he told me that he''s going to try to make things right and reorder the ring, and if I don''t like it, then he''ll refund my money.......so we left it like that. But I felt so bad on the ride home that I told my FI that I don''t want to try again because they''re just going to screw me all over again....so FI is going to call them tomorrow and tell them to cancel the order and refund the $. I hope they just give us the money back and I never see them again.
Thanks girls

I have heard nothing but bad stuff about them.

Did this happen to you personally?

Or did you copy and paste some other person''s story and the replies people posted to that story? If this is the case, maybe next time just post a link to the site.
