So I had decided to propose at Moraine lake while we were on vacation at Banff. Our day started off with a hike at Johnston's Canyon and on the way down it started to rain. Then it poured!! We huddled under a rock cliff to help stay dry. After that stopped we finished hiking down and was informed a mudslide had happened because of the sudden downpour of rain. It covered all 4 lanes of the #1 trans canada highway and apparently they can take from 2 hours to 2 days to clear!!
So we figured we may as well go do some more sight seeing because we couldn't get back to banff anyways. So off to Moraine lake we went. The good thing about the mudslide was that no one else could get to the lake and pretty much everyone else that was there planned on taking the long way back to Banff. So we had the lake to ourselves basically. My parents and two nieces were with us as well.
I'm not sure if you remember my previous threads but I'm into photography. So I picked the spot where I was going to do it and gave my mom my camera to take some pictures of us in front of the lake. She took a couple then I said I needed to swap lenses. I knelt down and gave Chelsey a little lens pouch (which had the ring inside it). I asked her to get the lens out for me then said the magical words
.
Everyone was very surprised and Chelsey is extremely happy with the ring. Thanks to everyone that helped along the way. Now onto the pictures.
