Today, my fiance is set on the two rings sitting flush. I think that she has this false image in her head that if her wedding band and ering don''t sit perfectly flush that everyone will notice and laugh at her. Ok, so maybe that is a bit harsh. Anyway, we both like the Stuller Bombe solstice that Susi has the most, but it will have an every so slight gap that my fiance doesn''t want with a shared prong wedding band. Even the authentic Tiffany''s ring has a gap with their shared prong, and she claims that she wouldn''t want that set either. The other thing is that she doesn''t want a cathedral setting. I have searched lots of posts and pictures on here and I have found one picture that I think is the closest to what she wants. The picture is attached. We like the Stuller Solstice head the most and are curious what shank would look most like the picture. This picture is a comfort fit 3mm band. I don''t think that she wants a comfort fit or a band that wide, but we would like to know what shanks are available that would give us this look. Thank you very much again. You all are so so so helpful. I just wish that I would have found this place before I bought the ring.

In my opinion, I like the Stuller Bombe Solstice the best and to me the slight gap can''t be a big deal if Tiffany''s customers and everyone else is still buying rings like this. But it isn''t up to me

Here is a link to the head that we like.

I am with you: the slight gap means nothing to me (as on a Tiffany or close Tiffany replica).

BUT if your girlfriend is gap-frightened, and is really into flush-fit to the point that it would worry/upset her, then I would seriously start considering soldered units or interlocking rings. Otherwise, even occasionally, flush-sitting rings may separate when there's movement.

From all your posts it sounds like this is a _serious_ bone of contention with her; am I reading this correctly? If so, then rings that don't come apart may be the only solution, because I think you've seen a lot of examples here of how the tiffany-style solitaire sits on the finger, and also pictures of almost completely flush rings, and none seem to be right for her. I know what it's like to have something small bother me, and sometimes I just can't let it go, so I gotta just go with it. Maybe that's what you need to do here.

Sorry, I don't know of any other solitaire styles to recommend than the ones you have already gone through. Hopefully, someone will chime in with the perfect solution!

That would work, but she is in med school and won''t be able to wear her ering when she works since she wears gloves. She will only wear her wedding band to work. That is why we can''t get a curved wedding band. It would look funny to wear a curved band alone. Thanks for the ideas.

Here is a different shank with the same head. What are the numbers on these shanks? What shanks would give me this look?

I _think_ that "is the Solstice. Its the 6 prong peg head in their 3mm (sanded to 2) heavy comfort fit plat wdding band." Quoted from the ring owner's post on this thread.

She also states: "Stuller Plat Heavy Comfort Fit 3mm band filed to 1.5-2mm with a Stuller Plat Solstice SixProng Low peg head."

You can also see more hand shots here

I clearly need to get going on my housework instead of hunting down threads.

I think that I posted pictures from two different rings. It seems like they are both set on a 3mm comfort fit band. One is sanded down and one was considering sanding it down. Is there a shank from Stuller that would fit this head and wouldn''t have to be sanded down?

atoth, what jeweler are you working with? Most if not all have access to Stuller settings and it may be easier to be discussing all the minor details of what it what with the vendor since they will no it best. Tell them what you are wanting, perfectly flush fit, solstice head etc. and they should be able to peice together what you''re wanting.
