Hi everyone,
A few weeks ago, I tried on the Cartier 1895 Pave engagement ring with a 0.37ct round brilliant cut central diamond. I immediately fell in love with this ring. The ring is priced at £2925 (approx $4772.15) and the diamond is graded H and is a VS2.
At this moment in time, I am still trying to work out what my options are. I have been in touch with Leon and with the budget I have, minus the labor/setting costs, I am left with approximately $1530, for the diamond, shipping (to London UK) and any other extra costs. He has given me a few suggestions for the central diamond- one at .54ct and two at .57ct but all of them are a little bit over my budget.
I also like the emerald, cushion, oval and asscher diamond shapes. I know that Cartier do not offer these shapes when less than a carat and there reasoning is because they feel that the shapes would not work at that size. I would like to know everyone''s opinion on this. Would it look funny?
Can''t wait to hear all your thoughts and views.
Many many thanks. x
