Hey everyone, just wanted to say thanks for al the good info I've learned on here. I'm pretty sold on a Shane Classic diamond I just bought for $4725. I know I'm paying a bit more for with the B&M markup, but I really can't beat their trade-in and warranty policies.

As a side note, I know not everyone likes ShaneCo, but I think service varies from store to store, and I've had nothing but good service in the past 5 times I've been there with 3 different attendants. This is for their Lynnwood, WA location that is well staffed and always has people ready to help as compared to other stories I've read on these forums. They also took more than a couple of hours to show me many diamonds and the 4 C's with them.

Back to the diamond though.

The dimensions are as follows from the GIA report: (scores 1.3 on HCA, EX, EX, VG, VG)

Lower Half: 80 %

Comments: Additional pinpoints are not shown.

My comment: It has two small crystal inclusions on the far outer edge that can be covered when mounted.

I checked it with an Expert IS and light, and it looked almost excatly like the ideal cut on the box. (Sorry about no pictures, but the only camera I have compatible with the size of the IS gave really low quality images)

Anyways, I was wondeing if anybody had any thoughts, and if they could show me anything with the dimensions.

As for the setting, it will be a Tiffany style rounds in a channel setting at somwhere between .25-.5ct tw in yellow gold.
.5 ct looked to big and hid the center diamond, but with the smaller channel settings, the center diamond really popped out at you, especially with the blue color contrasting with all the little sparkling rounds behind it.
The setting itself is gonna be about $700.

The attached photo is borrowed from tiffany, but differs from what I want because it will be in Yellow Gold which really contrasts better with the diamond.

Here is what it would look like in the set that I am getting.

Again, the bands I want would be in gold.

I have a Shane Classic E VS1 and I LOVE it. Their service has always been exceptional. Your stone and rings are beautiful.

All of mine came from Shane co. I have no complaints as they have bent over backwards for me many times. Being an educated consumer is good for any and everyone, no matter where you shop. Their upgrade policy has been wonderful.

Congratulations on your new ring and diamond!I bets its a real beauty!
