Hi friends!
Hope you all had a nice and warm Thanksgiving! I am back here again. Last time I found two G color,VS2, 1.9-2ct rocks, after you guys recommended for me, two days later, both are sold. I was soooo sad. Thanks for all the folks helped me last time
https://www.pricescope.com/communit...p-me-narrow-down-the-6-options-please.244829/

I am still in search now, a high-reputation vendor recommended me this following one:
I am about to pay this one, appreciate your inputs. Thank you! :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:
  • Color I, VS2, 2.1ct
  • Crystal, cloud ,needle, Additional clouds not shown.
  • Priced at $24K for the stone only
Question:
  • How is the cut? I would like my ring to be a fire ball, sparkle and bling!
  • Is the color I a bit yellow? in my last post a week ago, i was screening all at G color. Now moving to I, i am a bit unsure. Given the size of 2ct, I am afraid it's easier to tell the yellow hint.

A very nicely cut stone. As for the color you'll have to decide for yourself.

What's the cost?

Is the diamond eye clean and at what distance? There is a lot happening on the table of this diamond. It might not all be visible but it wouldn't hurt to ask the vendor if the crystals are visible.

There's definitely a difference between G and I color. Are you wanting a whiter stone or is getting to the 2 ct mark worth going down to I color for you? I'd say H might be a good compromise.

I could tell the I color had some tint, G was very close to colorless when I was comparing them. You may want to check with a local place to preview the color differences to see if it's going to bug you.

There is a nice price range for the "just under" carat sizes that should fit your budget easily to get a G color VS1-2 and appear nearly the same size as the 2.1's diameter.

1.922 G vs2
7.95 x 7.98 x 4.92 mm
$23,734 wire price

56.3% table
34.6 crown angle
40.7 pavilion angle
61.8 depth

Nice G color alternative and says eye clean ... slightly larger table but ACÁ ...

What are the measurements of the 2.1? The cut looks good and looks like AGS0? If it’s eye clean and good H&A you’re probably good to go. ... but of course I defer to the experts ...

Yes, in terms of cut, it's all AGS0. It's a CBI diamond.
Yes, I may need to go to a local store to see whether color I bug me. I know once in the past, Tiffany showed me a white color and a I color, I am able to tell which is which. But I don't know if only look at an I color, whether it will bother me.

OP is looking at one of the super ideal vendors. @Julyisjuly if you are ok with the I color, there is another stone in the inventory very close in size - 2.11ct, with better clarity and for less. I would pick that one over the one you are looking at. Both stones will be gorgeous nonetheless.

Obviously this one can only be decided by you, but for what it’s worth, it would bother me.

Hi SimoneDi, Thanks for helping me on my on-going search.

I just saw that 2.11ct too, same price, same size, same color, better clarity.
HCA score is 1.4 for this 2.11 and 1 for 2.13ct one(my original post).

CBI also recommended another stone at first:
H, IS2, but eye clean. 2.01ct. $3K cheaper.
Which is the left diamond that one PSer posted a week ago and the community discussed about:
https://www.pricescope.com/communit...-would-you-choose-based-on-this-video.244846/
It's a slightly better color, but too many twinning wisp what I've heard has a potential risk to be non-durable.

I would pick the I VS2 over the H SI2 and I have had an SI2 with twinning wisps in the past.

I am not sure why you'd consider an H SI2 or I VS2 when there is a superideal cut 2.07 H VS2 at $24k.

Hahaha, thanks!
I considered this rock before, i asked WF a set of several choice and asked whether the H VS2 is the best choice?
and they said:
"I think the H VS2 is a nice find for sure as it gives you the size you ultimately want with a nice bright white color, I think for the size its priced very well. The others are priced well also, have great light performance but will be a little smaller overall. I found another I think you’d like also that I’m not sure we covered yet: https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3905126.htm. "

since they kept recommending me other stone after I specifically asked the H VS2, that's the point I feel I am not as confident as i was......

Well, clearly you were expressing interest in G color stones at that time, because you linked 5 or 6 G color stones for us from Whiteflash in your other thread. So I am assuming the sales associate figured you'd not be happy with a drop to H color, and that's why I am questioning a drop to I color. I'd only go with CBI if they agree to price match this stone per carat with the WF stone I linked.

When you buy a 2 ct I color superideal cut stone and a 2 ct superideal H color stone, I don't care whether it is CBI or WF, the H stone is worth more.

Thanks! Although CBI offer $1k visa gift card for a purchase over 20k during Black Friday weekend(LOL), but after your comparison i do notice CBI has a slighter higher price over WF.
In terms of diamonds at WF, I dont have too many choices now.
Basically it's a battle between 1.922 G vs. 2.07 H
https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/compare.aspx?idnos=4018652,3905126,4018650,4016765
WF has two 2ct G ones, but unless they have a much better overall quality than the 1.922G and 2.07H, otherwise I won't starch my budget.

Thank you guys, I just went to a local Tiffany, and they showed me G,H,I and I am able to tell which is which.
As such, I will not buy the color I VS 2.

Just be aware, every person can tell the difference when the stones are next to one another. The question is does it matter to you and to what degree?

It does sound like the H would be a nice fit for you

Thanks for your input.
I may shall just back to the local store and only try H to see whether I like it. If I am ok, I shall go H. Otherwise, I shall go with G
