Since I''ve been on a green kick lately, I wanted to post all my little green pretties! Most of these are pre-PS, but I love them all.

Rings, from left:

1) Scissor cut green tourmaline ring from a jewelry story in Maine
2) Olive green tourmaline ring with marcasites from a jewelry/bead store in Pittsburgh. You may notice some of the marcasites have gone missing - it''s a ring that has been well worn and well loved!
3) Irradiated green diamond ring from a mall chain in Pittsburgh
4) Square tsavorite swirl ring from CreativeGoldsmith on Etsy
5) Roval Mali garnet from D&J Rare Gems in LOGR
6) Large emerald cut prasiolite ring from TJ Maxx
7) Tiny demantoid from Dutton''s Diamonds, set by kyleannemetals on Etsy

Bracelet: 8 emerald cut bezeled peridots, from TJ Maxx

And to round it out, my jade dolphin carving on a red cord that was a gift from my friend, who got it in China.

Feel free to post your green rocks here!

I would if my camera could photograph them accurately - ugh!

Nice collection you have!

Green tourmaline studs; pre-PS but an awesome green. I loved the green of these stones the moment I saw them.

Thanks, guys...keep ''em coming! TL, I have the exact same problem...small stones in particular are hard to photograph accurately, and those 2 photos don''t even come close to showing how vibrant the colors are in real life. Especially the garnets and diamond. And actually, my cheapo peridot bracelet consistently amazes me with its dispersion. I never thought peridot was a particularly dispersive stone, but these are really fiery.

Here''s a much better pic of my demantoid, the ring all the way on the right in the first 2 pics, next to MTG''s tsavorite lotus ring.

King''s Manassa turquoise and sterling cuff. I never thought about it much before, but clearly I love all kinds of green rocks.

Wow, Fly Girl, that''s a lotta green! I love the Mali in LOGR...interestingly enough, my only LOGR piece also houses my green Mali.

Just for fun I came up with descriptors for each of the green rings I posted:

Tourmaline 1: spring green
Tourmaline 2: olive green
Diamond: grassy green
Tsavorite: chrome green
Mali: apple green
Prasiolite: minty green
Demantoid: neon green

Nice line up!
I''d post my tsav ring, but you got it covered :)
My tourmaline has it''s greenish moments, but I think it''s still mostly blue so I''ll save it for a blue thread :-P

Here's my fav tsav picture.

I was eyeing this mint garnet though to boost me green collection

I want to join the greenie club

MTG- Pretty sure I''ve seen that mint garnet in person and it had lots of extinction. I have photos, if you are interested.

Gorgeous all!

I especially adore chrome diopside. Such a gorgeous bottle green.

I''ve only got a few of my green stones set.

But here are the ones I have. First up is what I lovingly call the "Freke diamond". It''s a Namibian tourmaline from our beloved Frekechild set in a LOGR setting. The stone was cut by Barry.

Beautiful green gems all! My wife would be in haven with all those lovely green gems

Next up is a matched set of tourmalines also cut by Barry. I set them into leverbacks and a Lotus. First up, the lotus.

The leverbacks. The mountings are Stuller (sp?) and I had my jeweler make the basket free swinging. I have a few more green pieces but they're from maul stores so I don't have photos of them. I'll work on that and get back to you guys.

Was it about 1.8 ct? That''s too bad, the color in the photo looks so charming. I''d love to see the other photos of it if you have them.

Now for my maul jewelry. First up a pair of peridot earrings.

peridoteearrings laksjfpoew.jpg

Yipes... sorry those were so dirty. Oh well, now here''s a suite of peridots that I got when a local jewelry store went out of business. I liked them cause they sort of look like little turtles. THe diamonds are the head, the peridot the body, and the little prongs the feet!

Now for my very first gemstone purchase ever. A peridot with a halo of smokey quartz.
