Setting

My girlfriend and I just got engaged a few weeks ago. Thank you all for all the help i recieved. I ended up going with a .80 F SI1 "a cut above" diamond set in Sleek Plat setting from whiteflash

Yesterday to my disbelief, I noticed that her ring was sitting a little funny. After inspecting it, I noticed that the mounting had been tweaked. It is not sitting a little bent to one side.

My question is. Does anyone know of a good repair person that can be trusted and reliable in the Los Angeles area?

Second, Since this has happened once. It might happen again. Does anyone know of a similiar setting that is a little more robust? Online or B&M.

How was the ring handled or mishandled for the tweaking to occur?

She works in retail. She was working in the stockroom. She reached for a box on those industrial metal shelfs and hit the top of the upper shelf with the prongs.

I know it could be fixed but its only been three weeks.

from what little I've learned from the people on this site, if it happened once, it can happen again. see if the prongs can't be...reinforced somehow. I can't see the diamond but see if it rests comfortably on the base that it rests on. because if it's off a bit, then it probably has the space and ability to "rock" in the setting. but remember, I'm 19, confused, and have only been eating cup of noodles the last 2 months.

if I'm wrong someone just say I'm wrong so I don't confuse this guy anymore than he needs to be. =P
